Purpose of the Job<\/p>\n
\tThe Credit Executive is responsible for managing the company’s credit processes and policies, ensuring timely and accurate credit assessments, and minimizing credit risk. The role involves evaluating customer creditworthiness, approving credit limits, monitoring outstanding debts, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective debt collection and risk mitigation.<\/p>\n

\tReview and analyze customer financial statements and credit reports to evaluate creditworthiness.
\n\tRecommend credit limits for new and existing customers based on risk assessments.
\n\tEnsure compliance with the company\u2019s credit policies and procedures.
\n\tProcess and approve credit applications in accordance with the company\u2019s credit policies.
\n\tSet terms and conditions of credit facilities for customers.
\n\tWork closely with sales and finance teams to ensure alignment in credit terms.
\n\tMonitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
\n\tIdentify and flag potential credit risks or defaults, initiating corrective actions when necessary.
\n\tRegularly review the credit portfolio and adjust credit limits based on payment history and financial health.
\n\tCollaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve payment issues and disputes.
\n\tImplement debt recovery strategies and follow up on overdue payments.
\n\tPrepare reports on delinquent accounts and liaise with legal teams when necessary for further action.
\n\tMaintain accurate records of credit applications, approvals, and collections.
\n\tPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on credit performance and outstanding debts.
\n\tProvide analysis and recommendations to senior management on improving credit processes.
\n\tAct as a point of contact for customers regarding credit-related matters.
\n\tWork closely with sales teams to balance business growth objectives with credit risk management.
\n\tBuild strong relationships with customers, ensuring long-term partnerships while maintaining credit discipline.<\/p>\n
Job Requirements – Experience and Education<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
\n\t2-4 years of experience in credit management or a similar role.
\n\tStrong knowledge of credit processes, financial analysis, and risk management.
\n\tAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
\n\tProficiency in accounting software and financial management systems (e.g. SAP system).
\n\tAbility to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
\n\tProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.<\/p>\n
