\tClover has a great opportunity for a detail-orientated,results-driven and highly motivated Junior Business Controller to join the Finance department. \n\tThe successful individual will be responsible for supporting the business units (BU’s) in compiling business cases for approval of EXCO, and managing the financial aspects of the implementation of initiatives. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tBCom Finance Accounting degree (or similar)\u00a0
\n\tStudying professional qualification (CIMA, CA)
\n\tBusiness or financial or commercial controller experience
\n\tFinancial or commercial analyst experience
\n\tFinancial planning and analysis (FP&A) experience
\n\tFinance business partner experience
\n\tBusiness English: Fluent
\n\tComputer literacy (Intermediate).
\n\tRelevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level.
\n\tExperience in an FMCG environment will be advantageous for this role.<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
Provide Budget Support to Assigned Brand Teams \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tSupport and guide brand teams in their budget inputs – develop and thereafter validate all monthly product sales volumes and pricing, with specific reference to past performance, budget parameters and market conditions. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0
\n\tReview and validate the advertising budget by activity and phasing throughout the year. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0
\n\tProvide support to validate accuracy of all BOMs (by SKU) loaded into the budget system. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0
\n\tMeet all finance timetable deadlines for budget inputs, milestones and presentations. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0
\n\tAssist in preparation of financial analysis on budget outcomes versus latest estimate for current year including (1) Volume, price, mix analysis down to MOM level, (2) Fixed Costs Tariff allocation, (3) Overall profitability. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0
\n\tEscalate all anomalies noted with relevant authority within Clover and suppliers, if necessary, and have any errors immediately corrected. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0
\n\tAssist with budget presentations to Clover SA senior management.<\/p>\n
Perform Monthly Management Accounts Duties \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tVerify accuracy of sales cube at month end. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0
\n\tProvide support with the analysis and presentation of brand and regional management income statements \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0
\n\tUnder supervision, analyse and present to the Business Units quarterly profitability accounts by SKU that are prepared by finance department. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0
\n\tUnder supervision, analyse and present to Brand Teams the volume, mix and price variance analysis by sku and investigate and correct anomalies. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0
\n\tProvide explanations on variances on income statement to prior year and budget and present to relevant stakeholders. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
Marketing Team Financial Support \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tSet product cost of materials financial objectives for PT&T team. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0
\n\tProvide daily financial and accounting support to Brand Teams to enable timeous decision making.
\n\tPrepare and present to marketing managers product group income statements monthly. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0
\n\tPrepare and present to marketing managers actual marketing expenditure versus budget. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0
\n\tPrepare and present to marketing managers return on investment calculations for all marketing investments.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ad-hoc Duties \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tSupply business with advice on all financial protocols – account strings, definitions of costs, respect of Clover group policies and operating instructions. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0
\n\tAssist Internal and External Auditors. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0
\n\tAssist with ad-hoc requests from EXCO.<\/p>\n
