\tTo independently plan and conduct complex audits across multiple tax types, multiple periods with multiple risks, understanding the risk implications across other tax types, in compliance with all legislative requirements.<\/p>\n
Education and Experience<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualification & Experience Required<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s Degree \/ Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Accounting, Audit \/Forensic Financial Investigations and AND 5 – 7 years\u2019 experience in a Tax audit\/Forensic Financial Investigations environment, of which 2 – 3 years at a technically skilled level.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Or<\/p>\n
\tSenior Certificate (NQF 4) AND 10 years Tax audit\/Forensic Financial Investigations environment, of which 2-3 years at functional specialist Audit level<\/p>\n
Minimum Functional Requirements<\/p>\n
\tApplicable to a specific Audit environment e.g. Tax, Customs or Excise business environments.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Process<\/p>\n
\tBe observant and engage on possible violations of procedures and standards of conduct and escalate where necessary.
\n\tEffectively utilise resources allocated to the job in order to perform contracted work outputs and report on and escalate any shortfalls.
\n\tIdentify and resolve queries and problems timeously, apply discretion in line with process guidelines provided.
\n\tLead, plan and conduct full scope (integrated) audits to ensure compliance and report on findings and recommendations.
\n\tPlan and conduct multiple tax audits on a risk profile basis to ensure compliance to the relevant acts.
\n\tAccumulate information to review work progress that provides input to reporting, decision making and the identification of improvement opportunities.
\n\tApply practical and applied knowledge and act authoritatively on methods, systems and procedures to identify trends and potential risks.
\n\tCommunication of situational interpretation and judgement of work outputs and queries in area of Prepare and present submissions to interest and penalty committee.
\n\tProvide specialist input through the investigation of opportunities for operational and process, product and risk optimisation.
\n\tTake accountability for delivery of contracted work outputs within agreed parameters, quality standards and client service targets.
\n\tUse practical and applied knowledge and situational judgement to arrive at decisions.<\/p>\n
