{"id":37251,"date":"2026-06-08T10:02:20","date_gmt":"2026-06-08T10:02:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/senior-labour-attorney\/"},"modified":"2026-06-08T10:02:57","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T10:02:57","slug":"senior-labour-attorney","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/senior-labour-attorney\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Labour Attorney"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senior Labour Attorney<\/p>\n<p>\tOne of our clients, a well-established specialist labour law firm based in Pretoria, Gauteng, is seeking an experienced Senior Labour Attorney to join their dynamic legal team.<br \/>\n\tThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert labour law services, representing clients in labour-related disputes, and managing employment law matters from consultation through to litigation.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n<p>\tLLB Degree (required).<br \/>\n\tLLM specialising in Employment or Labour Law (advantageous).<br \/>\n\tMinimum of 5 years post-admission experience as an Attorney.<br \/>\n\tProven specialist experience in Employment and Labour Law.<br \/>\n\tExtensive experience appearing in CCMA proceedings and labour-related litigation.<br \/>\n\tStrong drafting skills relating to legal pleadings, employment contracts, disciplinary policies, and related documentation.<br \/>\n\tExcellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.<br \/>\n\tAbility to manage multiple matters simultaneously and work independently.<\/p>\n<p>Roles and Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Employment and Labour Law Advisory<\/p>\n<p>\tProvide specialist legal advice on employment and labour law matters.<br \/>\n\tAdvise clients on labour legislation, compliance requirements, and workplace best practices.<br \/>\n\tDraft and review employment contracts, policies, procedures, and related legal documentation.<\/p>\n<p>Disciplinary and Workplace Proceedings<\/p>\n<p>\tChair disciplinary hearings and internal workplace enquiries.<br \/>\n\tAdvise clients on misconduct, incapacity, retrenchment, and disciplinary processes.<br \/>\n\tEnsure disciplinary procedures comply with relevant labour legislation and best practice.<\/p>\n<p>CCMA Representation and Litigation<\/p>\n<p>\tRepresent clients in CCMA conciliations, arbitrations, and related proceedings.<br \/>\n\tPrepare and present legal arguments during labour dispute resolution processes.<br \/>\n\tManage litigation matters from inception through to finalisation.<\/p>\n<p>Labour Court Matters<\/p>\n<p>\tDraft Labour Court pleadings and supporting legal documentation.<br \/>\n\tPrepare urgent applications and other court-related submissions.<br \/>\n\tAppear in Labour Court matters where applicable and assist with litigation strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Client Relationship Management<\/p>\n<p>\tBuild and maintain strong client relationships.<br \/>\n\tProvide regular feedback and updates on matters under management.<br \/>\n\tDeliver professional legal services while ensuring client satisfaction and compliance with firm standards.<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( N \/ A ) or<\/p>\n<p>webapp.placementpartner.com<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/webapp.placementpartner.com","_company_name":"Marvel Placement Consultant","_company_website":"http:\/\/N%20\/%20A","_company_tagline":"We make use of an excellent On-boarding Monitoring Program.
