Purpose of the Job:<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for the implementation of the business process, technology, information and application architectural framework. To translate the business and technical requirements across IT, Core Networks, Digital, Commercial into functional and technical specifications in line with architecture best practices.
\n\tAs a Solution Architect at Cell C, you will play a pivotal role in driving improvements in the business by creating impactful solutions through your passion, talent, technical expertise, and the practice of Solution Architecture. You will bridge the gap between complex business challenges, and technological solutions, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives.<\/p>\n
Main Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Solution Architecture, Solution Design, & Service Delivery<\/p>\n
\tSolution Architect serving Cell C Wholesale, MVNO, Retail, Digital and Core Network business units
\n\tChampion the solution architecture, design, and implementation of solutions using existing and new technology to support business objectives
\n\tAnalyse and design solutions that fit both current and future technology needs, continuously updating and improving processes
\n\tWork closely with internal and external partners to develop scalable and maintainable solutions, ensuring all aspects of integration are well defined. Lead, facilitate, and drive discussions
\n\tIdentify and address potential risks in business requirements, applying a comprehensive approach to cover all affected areas and provide expert guidance
\n\tDocument technical details, manage project estimates, and support the documentation and execution of solution designs
\n\tMaintaining or enhancing procedures, processes and designs for existing technology systems and applications to deliver superior service to all internal Cell C customers as well as to external integrating Cell C partners
\n\tDemonstrate effective solution design strategies and activities<\/p>\n
Consulting<\/p>\n
\tSupport the implementation of projects in the technology space in support of business objectives
\n\tDrawing from the knowledge of implemented systems, provide support to business at a technical level in the analysis of new or enhancing product activities<\/p>\n
Knowledge Management<\/p>\n
\tActively contribute towards the maintenance of the reference architecture repository
\n\tActively utilize agreed standard templates and file formats
\n\tActively share information through agreed channels and repositories<\/p>\n
Governance<\/p>\n
\tSupport work required to successfully drive solutions through all relevant governance forums and project gates
\n\tEnsure solutions conform to design directives, principles, technology standards, and enterprise architecture. Where necessary, contribute to the formation of new standards and enterprise architecture blueprints
\n\tUnderstanding and implementation of the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of technical design projects
\n\tPresent new designs to the Design Authority to ensure constant adherence to target enterprise architecture for all design solutions \/ requirements
\n\tCollaborate with the EPMO on reporting project status, issues, risks and benefits
\n\tActive participation in Architectural Review Committee collaborative design discussions
\n\tSignoff of specifications and effort estimates<\/p>\n
Development & Project Execution<\/p>\n
\tActively resolve and drive to resolution any necessary design related changes or misunderstandings that arise during the implementation phase of a project
\n\tEnsure alignment between requirements and solution development and delivery teams
\n\tSupport any workshops required by subject matter experts (SME), developers, and implementation teams, required for the development and implementation of solutions
\n\tReview and guide quality assurance team
\n\tRatification of Requirements Traceability Matrix
\n\tProvide support in delivery of related projects
\n\tOwn assigned solutions throughout the lifecycle thereof by providing technical and design guidance to internal customers, external vendors and integrating partners<\/p>\n
From time to time, lead the implementation of complex projects as part of a project team by:<\/p>\n
\tSetting up meetings and driving discussions
\n\tCoordinate delivery teams
\n\tResolve design disputes
\n\tEscalate where necessary for support
\n\tProvide guidance to stakeholders<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Engagements<\/p>\n
\tDrive the end-to-end discussions required to get agreement across the whole value chain impacted by a solution from business through to operations
\n\tActively support the planning and meeting with stakeholders
\n\tSetup meetings and hold discussions with stakeholders
\n\tEnsure joint architecture design (JAD) sessions take place if \/ when necessary
\n\tWork with the EPMO
\n\tBuild and manage own relationships with key stakeholders, such as – project managers, vendors, business owners, peers, enterprise architects, fellow architects, and various technical bodies and SMEs
\n\tAttend meetings, governance forums, and engage in knowledge-sharing activities<\/p>\n

Minimum Qualification<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or similar qualification
\n\tAny contemporary industry technical certification such as but not limited to:
\n\tDeveloper Certifications
\n\tTOGAF
\n\tCloud Developer
\n\tSecurity Certifications<\/p>\n

\tA management qualification
\n\tA master\u2019s qualification
\n\tSecurity certifications
\n\tTelecommunications certification
\n\tCertifications with a background in a business domain such as:
\n\tFinancial \/ ERP

Experience<\/p>\n
A Minimum of 7 years technical experience which should be inclusive of:<\/p>\n
\t5 years software development
\n\t3 years solutions design
\n\t3 years system integration experience
\n\t2 years\u2019 experience using an architecture modelling tool
\n\t4 years leading software development<\/p>\n
