\n\tMinimum of 10 years\u2019 experience in the field of nursing of with 5 years must be in a nursing practice environment\u00a0\u00a0
\n\tMinimum of 5 years\u2019 Management experience in Nursing Practice\/Education\/Regulatory body or relevant health service environment
\n\tValid South African Nursing Council Annual Practising Certificate (APC)\u00a0

\tPHD in a Nursing or Health-related field

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS<\/p>\n
\tContribute to the review of the Strategic plan, Annual Performance Plan
\n\tLead the development, implementation and monitoring of the Annual Operational Plan for Professional Practice.
\n\tProvide strategic direction and oversight to\u00a0\u00a0 ensure efficiency of operations within Professional Practice ( Preliminary Investigations, Impairment, Inspectorate, Private Practice and CPD sections).
\n\tConceptualize and lead a turn-a-round strategy in the implementation of Continuing Professional Development
\n\tConceptualize and lead a turn-a-round strategy in the establishment of Private Practice Management System
\n\tProvide Strategic Direction and oversight in the development, implementation and monitoring of\u00a0 policies, SOPs, business Processes and guidelines relevant to Professional Practice
\n\tEstablish\u00a0 and maintain relations with relevant stakeholders and critical partners on Professional Practice related matters
\n\tEvaluate and improve the Departmental Business Plan
\n\tCommunicate and lead the Vision of the SA Nursing Council in Department.
\n\tDevelop, implement and Monitor departmental Policies
\n\tDevelop and Control Departmental budget
\n\tProvide Secretariat Services to the Council Committees overseeing Professional Practice
\n\tPrepare reports for Council consideration
\n\tManage Risks and Audit findings within Professional Practice
\n\tIdentify Professional Practice related Risk and draft mitigating factors
\n\tContribute to the Research agenda related to Professional Practice matters
\n\tManage professional practice projects
\n\tContribute to drafting and review of\u00a0 legislation
\n\tEnsure compliance to legislation, SANC policies and SOPs within Professional Practice
\n\tIdentify and Implement factors to improve service delivery on issues related to Professional Practice
\n\tContribute to the development of a Quality Management System
\n\tManage Resources (Human, Financial, Physical and Information).
\n\tManage individual and team performance
\n\tManage workplace climate
\n\tPerform ad hoc tasks as delegated by the line manager\/ supervisor
\n\tFacilitate information sharing to Professional Practice stakeholders<\/p>\n
