Overview:<\/p>\n
\tBe part of an in-house software development team in the FinTech industry for a Financial Wellness company. The team is responsible for continuously developing improvements and features for a .NET core web application.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:
\nBackend Development (ASP.NET Core, C#):<\/p>\n
\tDesign, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
\n\tImplement business logic, data processing, and optimizations.
\n\tWork with Entity Framework Core and SQL Server.
\n\tDevelop authentication and authorization mechanisms.<\/p>\n
Frontend Development (React, Angular, or Blazor):<\/p>\n
\tBuild responsive web applications using React, Angular, or Blazor.
\n\tIntegrate front-end applications with backend APIs.
\n\tWork with HTML, CSS, JavaScript\/TypeScript.<\/p>\n
Database & Cloud Technologies:<\/p>\n
\tDesign and optimize SQL Server databases.
\n\tUtilize cloud services like Azure or AWS.<\/p>\n
DevOps & Deployment:<\/p>\n
\tCollaborate on CI\/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
\n\tImplement containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
\n\tManage deployments and monitor application health.<\/p>\n
Testing & Code Quality:<\/p>\n
\tWrite unit and integration tests.
\n\tDrive best practices and performance improvements.
\n\tPerform code reviews and maintenance.<\/p>\n
Agile Collaboration:<\/p>\n
\tWork in an Agile\/Scrum team.
\n\tCollaborate with UI\/UX designers and QA testers.<\/p>\n
Project\/Team Lead:<\/p>\n
\tWork independently and lead design decisions.
\n\tCollaborate with product management and business teams.
\n\tHandle complex problem-solving and mentor junior developers.<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\t5+ years of experience
\n\tBCom IT or BTech Software Degree
\n\tAge between 21 – 40
\n\tIn-office position (08:00 – 17:00; Mon-Fri)
\n\tAbility to work under pressure
\n\tBi-lingual (Afrikaans & English)
\n\tAttention to detail
\n\tWilling to work overtime as required<\/p>\n
Skills and Development Stack:<\/p>\n
\tExpertise in front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end (C#, .NET Core).
\n\tProficient in REST APIs, databases, and performance optimization.
\n\tStrong understanding of Web frameworks and cloud platforms like Azure.
\n\tExtra points for Azure and DevOps knowledge\/experience.<\/p>\n
