Overview<\/p>\n
\tManager, SME Product Management role will support the Head of SME Product Development EEMEA, to lead the development & management of SME solutions in Africa . These solutions will support Issuers and acquirers as well as the end SME user. They may also support additional distribution partners like the governments, fintechs, and digital players.
\n\tThis role will work with the SME EEMEA Head, Global SME product team, Regional Commercialization Leads, regional delivery and account teams to develop Africa SME strategy, solutions and go to market plans to win more business and grow programs with our customers.<\/p>\n

Strategy<\/p>\n
\tDrive Africa Small Business product strategy by developing a deep understanding of the segment through benchmarking, competitive analyses, and research; recommending best practices; and generating profitability analyses and business cases.
\n\tSupport the management of card and acquiring programs for continued growth in the segment.
\n\tProvide thought leadership on innovative programs, functionalities, and strategies Mastercard can implement with issuers.
\n\tUtilize small business industry expertise to construct Mastercard\u2019s point of view on small business as a segment, as well as to guide issuers in creating their differentiated strategic approaches to the small business segment.<\/p>\n
Product development<\/p>\n
\tSupport the segment and collaborate with regional management and specific issuers, acquirers & partners to develop customized programs for small businesses
\n\tProvide input into global SME product management activities
\n\tComplete opportunity assessments including business cases on new ideas and concepts.
\n\tDefine optimum product economics for the approval in RPIC<\/p>\n
Product management<\/p>\n
\tSupport the tracking and delivery of portfolio results as well as the results of new product\/product enhancements to determine effectiveness and refine strategy development.
\n\tEnsure product suite is continually updated to exceed cardholder and issuer expectations, industry standards, and competitive pressures. Support ownership of competitive assessments to feed into global product\/product architect organization related to drive product development needs or bundled solutions
\n\tManage performance of existing products and issuer implementations.
\n\tContinuously assess and optimize product economics to support issuance of right products for the right segments
\n\tSupport Commercialization and Account teams with customer facing small business expertise and support related to small business portfolio business development with banks and non-traditional partners
\n\tWork with Commercialization and Account teams to develop solutions to support customer segment needs and differentiate product offering<\/p>\n
All About You<\/p>\n
\tSolid experience in the payment\/technology industry in product management.
\n\tUnderstanding of card issuing and payments technologies.
\n\tProven track record in bringing ideas from creation to execution.
\n\tStrong operational\/technical background within the payments and financial services industries.
\n\tStrong written and verbal communication skills, ability to present to customers and at conferences
\n\tStrong business acumen
\n\tSelf-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating within a matrix and team environment
\n\tUnderstanding of competitive offerings and industry trends in the markets.<\/p>\n
