\tThe purpose of this role is to load blast holes with explosive products using a mixer-placer truck in accordance with BME standards, and to be responsible for truck inspection and maintenance.<\/p>\n
Qualifications\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 (Mathematics)
\n\tEC License \u2013 Code 14 (EC)
\n\tDangerous Goods and Passengers permit (DGP<\/p>\n
Experience\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\t3 years Truck Driving experience (preferably in mining environment)
\n\t5 years\u2019 experience in driving heavy duty vehicles (EC)<\/p>\n
Duties\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tEnsures that all SHERQ requirements are met
\n\tReceives the charging instruction from the Blaster
\n\tCarries out an inspection of all the holes and measures and records them to ensure that they are drilled to the correct depth
\n\tReports any out of spec holes to blaster
\n\tPerforms calculations to determine the correct mass of product to be loaded in each hole and reports any discrepancies to with the Foreman
\n\tInspects all the pumps and settings prior to commencing with the pumping process
\n\tTakes a sample of the product and then analyses it to assess the product density prior to commencing the charging process
\n\tReports any out of spec analyses to the Foreman and will only start the pumping when completely satisfied with the product quality
\n\tReports any out of spec settings or equipment to the Foreman and will only start the pumping when completely satisfied with the mechanics of the process
\n\tEngages the pumping process and loading the holes according to the design specs while ensuring all prescribed SHERQ requirements are met
\n\tTakes a sample of the product as per BME standards, and\/or customer requirements, to ensure that the product quality remains within spec and records it on the sheet provided
\n\tPerforms general administrative duties such as correct completion of loading sheets, pre-use checklists, as per BME standards
\n\tComplete grease schedules, calibrations and truck performance
\n\tSupervises the work of the Truck Assistant
\n\tMake ensure holes being charged are correct before charging \u2013 this will be applicable based on contract that signed between BME client<\/p>\n
