A boutique, owner-managed inbound Travel Company based in the Durban North area is seeking an experienced Senior Travel Consultant to join its close-knit team.
\n\tThe company specialises in tailor-made luxury travel across Southern and East Africa, creating bespoke itineraries for international clients. Each itinerary is designed from scratch and combines safari, culture, coastal, and experiential travel into seamless, high-end journeys.
\n\tThis role is primarily office-based during onboarding and training, with potential for hybrid flexibility thereafter, depending on performance and operational requirements.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\t3\u20136 years\u2019 experience in inbound luxury travel or DMC consulting
\n\tStrong knowledge of Southern and East African safari destinations
\n\tExperience designing bespoke, multi-country itineraries
\n\tStrong understanding of reservations processes (quoting, booking, invoicing, documentation)
\n\tExperience with relevant software systems\u00a0
\n\tExcellent attention to detail and accuracy
\n\tStrong written and verbal communication skills
\n\tAbility to manage multiple itineraries and deadlines
\n\tExperience working with international agents or high-end FIT clients<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tDesign and prepare bespoke luxury travel itineraries across Africa
\n\tManage the full reservations process from enquiry to final documentation
\n\tPrepare accurate quotations and detailed travel proposals
\n\tLiaise with lodges, hotels, and suppliers across Africa
\n\tManage bookings, confirmations, amendments, and special requests
\n\tMonitor payments, deposits, and deadlines with accounts support
\n\tEnsure itineraries are seamless, accurate, and well-coordinated
\n\tMaintain strong supplier and agent relationships
\n\tProvide timely, professional communication to international partners
\n\tSupport internal operations and training within a small team environment<\/p>\n
