\tThe role investigates drug activity and the distribution of drugs in Royal Bafokeng Nation areas\u00a0 . It\u00a0 also includes the responsibility to command the narcotics section
\n\tConduct random searches at schools with the assistance of the dogs in order to ensure that schools are drug and crime free.
\n\tInvestigate and identify drug users and their source of supply by means of obtaining sources from the community, schools and the Community members to enable narcotics investigations and arrests.
\n\tMaintain the professional relations with SAPS and other security stakeholders in RBN by means of joint operations to ensure compliance.
\n\tEnsure compliance with all relevant legislation’s\u00a0
\n\tEnsure that the Dogs are in compliance with the relevant legislation and are taken care off
\n\tAdhere to high standards of ethical behaviour and communicate instances of unethical behaviour through the appropriate channels.
\n\tPrepare operational reports and maintain accurate records.
\n\tLead and supervise Dog Unit operations and personnel<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tNQF Level 4 \u2013 Matric (National Senior Certificate)
\n\tGrade B Certificate in Security\u00a0
\n\tCertificate in Dog Handling (DH 5)
\n\t2-3 years experience as Dog Handler, at-least two (2) years experience as a supervisor or Team Leader\u00a0
\n\tDrivers licence
\n\tClear criminal record
\n\tExperience in Narcotics investigations will be an advantage<\/p>\n
