ROLE OVERVIEW:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tThe Senior Infrastructure Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimisation of ISP and telecommunications infrastructure, including wireless, fibre, and network systems.
\n\tThe role involves configuring network equipment, performing high-site and tower installations, fault-finding, and ensuring stable connectivity across sites.
\n\tIt also includes supervising junior technicians, managing stock and site maintenance, and ensuring strict health and safety compliance in a fast-paced field environment.

Minimum requirements:<\/p>\n
\tMatric \/ Grade 12 (essential).
\n\t3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in ISP, telecommunications, or network infrastructure environments (essential).
\n\tStrong hands-on experience with wireless, fibre optic, and network equipment installations.
\n\tCompetent in configuring routers, switches, and wireless networking equipment.
\n\tExperience working on high-sites, towers, and remote infrastructure locations (valid working at heights with RFA advantageous).
\n\tSolid understanding and proven experience with fibre splicing, testing, and fault troubleshooting.
\n\tFamiliarity with network monitoring tools (e.g. Zabbix) and basic IP networking principles.
\n\tAbility to lead, supervise, and mentor junior technicians on-site.
\n\tStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex field issues.
\n\tKnowledge of OHSA regulations and commitment to strict safety compliance.
\n\tValid driver\u2019s licence and willingness to travel to sites as required.<\/p>\n

\tSupport technician development through training, mentoring, and skills enhancement initiatives.<\/p>\n
Health & Safety Compliance:<\/p>\n
\tPromote a safe working environment by strictly adhering to health and safety standards.<\/p>\n
