Introduction:<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Merchandise Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail and a strong understanding of sales trends and consumer behavior.
\n\tThe Merchandise Planner will be responsible for forecasting inventory needs, managing budgets, and maximizing profit margins through effective planning and analysis.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDeveloping merchandise plans that align with company goals and objectives
\n\tAnalyzing sales data, market trends, and historical performance to forecast product demand and pricing strategies
\n\tForecasting, order placement and expiditing of stock
\n\tCollaborating with cross-functional teams, including buying, product development, and marketing, to ensure merchandise plans are executed effectively
\n\tMonitoring and adjusting inventory levels to optimize sales and minimize excess or obsolete inventory
\n\tCreating reports and dashboards to track key performance metrics and make data-driven decisions
\n\tParticipating in vendor meetings and negotiations to ensure timely and cost-effective inventory replenishment
\n\tImplement plans to drive sales and clearance of slow-moving inventory with buyer
\n\tConducting regular inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree in retail management, merchandising, business administration, or a related field
\n\t2+ years of experience in merchandise planning or inventory management in a retail environment
\n\tStrong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
\n\tExcellent communication and collaboration skills
\n\tAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with tight deadlines
\n\tExperience with merchandise planning software is a plus
\n\tSAP experience will be advantageous<\/p>\n
