Purpose of the Role<\/p>\n
\tThe Site Manager is responsible for the daily operational management, maintenance, performance, and compliance of all security systems and infrastructure at the assigned site. The role ensures that security technologies, including CCTV, alarm systems, electric fencing, and integrated security platforms, remain fully operational, compliant with contractual obligations, and aligned with client, HSEC, and company standards.
\n\tThe Site Manager serves as the primary on-site representative, managing technicians, coordinating maintenance activities, engaging with client stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of all operational requirements.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
\nSite Operations Management<\/p>\n
\tManage all day-to-day security system operations on site.
\n\tEnsure contractual service levels and operational requirements are consistently achieved.
\n\tAct as the primary liaison between the client and the company on site.
\n\tCoordinate daily activities of technicians and subcontractors.
\n\tEnsure operational continuity of all security systems and infrastructure.<\/p>\n
HSEC & Compliance Management<\/p>\n
\tEnsure full compliance with all HSEC requirements, mine procedures, and site-specific regulations.
\n\tConduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
\n\tEnsure all personnel adhere to safe work practices and permit requirements.
\n\tMaintain compliance with OEM specifications, SAIDSA standards, SANS requirements, and company procedures.
\n\tReport and investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances.<\/p>\n
Maintenance & Service Delivery<\/p>\n
\tOversee preventative and corrective maintenance activities for:
\n\tCCTV systems
\n\tAlarm systems
\n\tElectric fencing
\n\tIntegrated security platforms
\n\tNetwork infrastructure supporting security systems
\n\tEnsure maintenance schedules are executed according to approved plans.
\n\tMonitor service requests and fault response times.
\n\tEnsure critical system failures are escalated and addressed immediately.
\n\tVerify the quality and completion of all maintenance activities.<\/p>\n
Asset & Resource Management<\/p>\n
\tManage site assets, including:
\n\tTools and test equipment
\n\tVehicles
\n\tSpare parts inventory
\n\tPPE and safety equipment
\n\tMonitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests.
\n\tEnsure all equipment remains in good working condition.
\n\tMaintain accurate asset registers and inventory records.<\/p>\n
Technical System Oversight<\/p>\n
\tMonitor performance and functionality of:
\n\tCCTV systems
\n\tAlarm monitoring systems
\n\tElectric fencing infrastructure
\n\tVideo Management Systems
\n\tSecurity networks and communication systems
\n\tEnsure proper system configuration and functionality.
\n\tCoordinate troubleshooting and technical support activities.
\n\tEscalate complex technical issues to the Contract Manager and specialist support teams.<\/p>\n
Installation & Project Coordination<\/p>\n
\tSupervise new installations, upgrades, and system enhancements.
\n\tEnsure installation work complies with approved designs and specifications.
\n\tCoordinate access, permits, and resources required for project execution.
\n\tVerify workmanship quality and commissioning requirements.
\n\tEnsure project documentation is completed and maintained.<\/p>\n
Quality Assurance & Reporting<\/p>\n
\tConduct routine inspections and quality audits.
\n\tMonitor system performance against contractual KPIs.
\n\tPrepare and submit:
\n\tDaily operational reports
\n\tWeekly maintenance reports
\n\tMonthly performance reports
\n\tIncident reports
\n\tIdentify opportunities for system improvements and operational efficiencies.<\/p>\n
Client & Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n
\tMaintain positive relationships with client representatives.
\n\tAttend operational and planning meetings.
\n\tAddress client concerns and service delivery issues promptly.
\n\tProvide regular feedback on site performance and system status.
\n\tSupport audits and client inspections.<\/p>\n
Incident Management<\/p>\n
\tManage the response to security system failures and incidents.
\n\tCoordinate corrective actions and close-out activities.
\n\tEnsure proper escalation procedures are followed.
\n\tMaintain records of incidents and corrective measures.
\n\tSupport investigations into system failures and operational disruptions.<\/p>\n
Team Leadership & Performance Management<\/p>\n
\tSupervise technicians, contractors, and support personnel.
\n\tAllocate daily work assignments and priorities.
\n\tMonitor productivity, attendance, and performance.
\n\tConduct performance reviews and coaching sessions.
\n\tEnsure personnel maintain required certifications and competencies.
\n\tSupport training and development initiatives.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements
\nQualifications<\/p>\n
\tDiploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, Security Management, or a related field.
\n\tRelevant security industry certifications will be advantageous.<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 3\u20135 years’ experience in security systems operations and maintenance.
\n\tPrevious supervisory or site management experience.
\n\tExperience in mining, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure environments preferred.<\/p>\n
Technical Competencies<\/p>\n
\tWorking knowledge of:

\n\tVideo Management Systems (Milestone, HikCentral)
\n\tTCP\/IP networking fundamentals
\n\tIntegrated security platforms
