PURPOSE OF THE JOB<\/p>\n
\tTo lead the Metrofile branch in the assigned region by delivering on both revenue growth and operational excellence objectives. The role includes actively marketing and selling Metrofile\u2019s services, maintaining strong client relationships, and overseeing the operational delivery of services according to SLAs. The Branch Manager ensures strategic alignment between client needs, operational efficiency, and overall business targets.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
\nSales Management<\/p>\n
\tPromote Metrofile\u2019s full product and service offering to existing and potential clients within the region.
\n\tAct as the primary point of contact for customer proposals, pricing (within Authority Framework), and customised service solutions.
\n\tAddress and resolve client service issues quickly and professionally.
\n\tMaintain strong, proactive relationships with all key regional clients.
\n\tMonitor market activity and competitor behaviour and report relevant insights to the General Manager.
\n\tSubmit weekly reports on sales performance, pipeline activity, and client engagements.
\n\tEnsure that the regional CRM database is accurate and current.
\n\tPresent tailored proposals and solutions that address client-specific document management needs.
\n\tRemain updated on relevant compliance and legislative frameworks (e.g., POPIA, document retention policies).<\/p>\n
Operational Management<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that all services are delivered in line with SLAs, SOPs, and client expectations.
\n\tContinuously review and refine operational workflows to drive efficiencies and reduce turnaround time.
\n\tOptimise use of fleet vehicles, monitor maintenance schedules, and enforce brand compliance.
\n\tOversee the accuracy and timeliness of retrieval, delivery, and storage of records and documents.
\n\tManage stock and supplies effectively, ensuring proper dispatch, receiving, and recordkeeping.
\n\tEnsure all facilities are compliant with OSH Act and Metrofile\u2019s housekeeping and safety standards.
\n\tMonitor capacity utilisation and produce monthly operational performance reports (e.g., vehicle usage, box movements, file requests, imaging output).
\n\tApprove operational Capex requests and submit justifications when needed.
\n\tLead business continuity practices and ensure physical site security.<\/p>\n
People Management<\/p>\n
\tLead a regional team (1\u201330 employees, depending on branch size), promoting high morale, productivity, and accountability.
\n\tRecruit, onboard, and upskill staff to meet current and future operational and sales demands.
\n\tApply company HR policies and manage employee relations, discipline, and performance fairly and consistently.
\n\tFoster a culture of collaboration, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
\n\tCoordinate performance reviews and staff development plans.<\/p>\n
Financial and Cost Control<\/p>\n
\tContribute to the regional budget planning process by providing insights from both sales and operations.
\n\tMonitor and control branch-level expenditure, optimising resources to remain within budget.
\n\tIdentify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service delivery or staff well-being.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE: \u00a0To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and\/or ability required.<\/p>\n
\tDiploma or Degree in Sales, Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
\n\tMinimum 5 years\u2019 experience in a service industry with a proven track record in sales. Minimum 2 years’ experience managing a small- to medium-sized team.
\n\tComputer literate (MS Office Suite, CRM tools).
\n\tOperational reporting.
\n\tBudget tracking.
\n\tStrong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
\n\tBusiness acumen.
\n\tExcellent communication.
\n\tClient orientation.
\n\tTeam leadership.
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license and own transport.
\n\tAbility to travel.
\n\tEntrepreneurial and self-starter mindset.<\/p>\n
