Financial perspectives<\/p>\n
\tProvide electrical engineering services on a profitable basis to Necsa and its corporatized entities (NTP and Pelchem).
\n\tLeading a team of engineers, technicians and draughtsmen.
\n\tContribute to the development of project Business Plans by providing technical, environmental and safety information.
\n\tPerform concept and basic electrical engineering of plants or facilities and produce typical output documentation to specify the product\/s appropriately and in sufficient details for efficient configuration management;
\n\tProvide detail engineering input to detail design phases of projects;
\n\tDesign frameworks, norms, standards and systems for implementation within EE, in order to ensure that the function fulfils its role.
\n\tEstablish and maintain a core competence within the function EE, in order to ensure that the primary services required and requested by Necsa are provided.
\n\tPerform scoping and pricing of new infrastructure on behalf of customers.
\n\tPerform feasibility studies of medium to complex systems independently Assuming the role of project manager for smaller to medium projects;\u00a0
\n\tRecommend and apply applicable internationally acceptable standards during the design process, specifically for subsections of facilities and SSCs
\n\tIncorporate the approved design processes and safety, licensing and SHEQ-INS requirements into products\/output to ensure compliance with the design control plan and applicable regulations and stakeholder requirements;
\n\tInitiate and conduct Design Reviews, and update designs accordingly; Initiate and conduct Hazard and Operability; Studies. And update designs accordingly;<\/p>\n
Stakeholder and customer perspectives<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that the EE function is maintained and expanded in order to meet Necsa\u2019s electrical engineering needs.
\n\tEnsure that customer requirements (Performance, schedule and cost) are met
\n\tEnsure and check that electrical design and installation work comply with SA OHSE Act and Necsa’s requirements. Electrical COC Programme
\n\tEnsure that Necsa complies with Eskom\u2019s energy utilisation requirements.
\n\tEnsures that Necsa has adequate energy to meet it\u2019s short and long term requirements
\n\tParticipate in new design discussions with customers.
\n\tEnsure that EE-related work is executed within a controlled project management process.<\/p>\n
Internal process<\/p>\n
\tEstablish and maintain the necessary management systems to ensure the effective, efficient and safe execution of work.
\n\tCreate a working environment which is conducive for workers to perform within.
\n\tImplement and maintain an ISO 9001:2008 quality system.
\n\tEstablish design and installation codes and standards for Necsa, which must comply with the various international codes and standards applicable for nuclear sites.<\/p>\n

Minimum Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tA degree in Electrical Engineering – B.Eng (Electrical) from an accredited University<\/p>\n
Minimum Experience<\/p>\n
\tMin of 7 years experience in the design of electrical engineering system (< 11 KVA) is required
\n\tMin of 5 years management or supervisory experience\u00a0
\n\tECSA registration as Pr.Eng.
\n\tExperience in project management of electrical engineering projects will be an advantage
\n\tExperience in the application of the SA Electrical installation regulations<\/p>\n
