Job Description<\/p>\n
\tThe purpose of the position is to provide a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout all areas and departments.<\/p>\n
The duties will include but will not be limited to:<\/p>\n
\tGeneral cleaning of assigned areas.
\n\tEmptying and washing waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points.
\n\tSweeping and mopping of floors.
\n\tSuction cleaning carpeted areas and \u201cspot\u201d cleaning carpets.
\n\tUsing electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish and spray clean floors (after receiving proper instruction and training).
\n\tDust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, windowsills, external surfaces of cupboards, shelves and fitments.
\n\tReplenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels)
\n\tClean toilets, urinals, hand basins and drinking fountains.
\n\tSpecialised cleaning of areas such as showroom, collections and office buildings.
\n\tSpecialised cleaning of warehouse racking and stacking areas.<\/p>\n
Requirements & Skills<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 (or equivalent)
\n\tDirect work experience in a similar capacity in the same or similar industries.
\n\tAbility to competently use industrial cleaning equipment
\n\tBasic health and safety qualifications\/first aid training – preferred
\n\tHigh energy levels
\n\tSober Habits
\n\tProfessional and presentable
\n\tAbility to work overtime if required
\n\tPunctual, friendly and hard working
\n\tExcellent attention to detail and cleaning to a high standard
\n\tAbility to deal with staff and public in a professional and helpful manner.
\n\tExcellent verbal communication skills
\n\tTeam player
\n\tSelf-starter
\n\tExcellent self-motivation<\/p>\n
