We have spent the last 11 years helping SMEs in South Africa solve their cash flow problems.<br \/>\n\tThis role is about finding that next frontier of growth to continue scaling Lula at the 100% year-on-year growth rates it\u2019s used to.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n<p>Opportunity Identification &amp; Prioritisation<\/p>\n<p>\tContinuously scan for new markets, segments, and partnership opportunities<br \/>\n\tBuild and maintain a clear pipeline of opportunities (not just deals, but ideas)<br \/>\n\tDevelop hypotheses on where growth will come from and pressure-test them<br \/>\n\tSize opportunities (market, revenue potential, complexity) and prioritise ruthlessly<\/p>\n<p>Partner Sourcing &amp; Deal Execution<\/p>\n<p>\tIdentify, approach, and engage high-potential partners<br \/>\n\tLead end-to-end deal process: outreach \u2192 pitching \u2192 negotiation \u2192 close<br \/>\n\tStructure commercial terms that drive meaningful revenue (not just logos)<br \/>\n\tWork through legal, risk, and product constraints to get deals over the line<\/p>\n<p>New Initiatives (Markets \/ Products \/ Channels)<\/p>\n<p>\tLead discovery and early-stage validation of new growth bets<br \/>\n\tRun pilots and MVP launches with partners or internally<br \/>\n\tTranslate ambiguous ideas into concrete execution plans<br \/>\n\tKill weak ideas quickly; double down on what shows traction<\/p>\n<p>Partner &amp; Channel Performance Management<\/p>\n<p>\tOwn performance of key partnerships and channels<br \/>\n\tTrack metrics (volume, revenue, CAC, conversion, etc.) and identify gaps<br \/>\n\tWork with partners to optimise performance\u2014not just maintain relationships<br \/>\n\tIntervene quickly when something underperforms<\/p>\n<p>Cross-functional Leadership<\/p>\n<p>\tWork closely with product, credit, risk, and operations to launch and scale initiatives<br \/>\n\tAct as the bridge between external opportunity and internal execution<br \/>\n\tPush internal teams when needed\u2014don\u2019t accept slow or vague responses<br \/>\n\tEnsure deals actually get implemented and don\u2019t stall post-signature<\/p>\n<p>Commercial &amp; Strategic Input<\/p>\n<p>\tContribute to overall growth strategy and planning cycles<br \/>\n\tBuild business cases for new initiatives and present to leadership<br \/>\n\tProvide regular insight on market trends, competitor moves, and partner landscape<br \/>\n\tChallenge existing assumptions and surface new angles<\/p>\n<p>Reporting &amp;
