MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for consolidated Business Performance reporting which includes consolidated insights and analysis as well as standardisation of reporting and reporting frameworks, and standardisation of practices and internal team processes to ensure the meeting of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements. Further responsible for financial modelling, consolidated revenue assurance & balance sheet substantiation reporting, cost recovery model implementation and continued maintenance.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0
\nImplementation and management\/maintenance of a full cost recovery model and transfer pricing in the Group.<\/p>\n
\tDrive an in-depth understanding of the business costs through the Financial Business Partner network
\n\tDrive cost driver analysis and validation with Business through Finance Business Partner network
\n\tDrive the development of Activity Based Costing Model through the Finance Business Partner network
\n\tSupport the EXCO Cost Recovery Model approval process
\n\tImplement and Manage the cost recovery model, practices and processes<\/p>\n
Budgeting and Forecasting<\/p>\n
\tSupport the review all budget\/forecast assumptions, to ensure alignment to the strategic plans of the bank
\n\tBuilding financial models and providing forecasts based on various strategic operating metrics.
\n\tSupport the compilation of consolidated budget Presentation (including commentary) for Exco and Board approval after reviews by Head of Business Performance and the CFO
\n\tReview all BU, regional, provincial\/Branch budgets loaded on SAP and ensure completeness and accuracy based on approved budgets
\n\tManage the forecasting and budget planning process across the Business partner network.<\/p>\n
Process analysis and Improvement<\/p>\n
\tEnsure the standardisation of all reporting packs and frameworks
\n\tChampion the review and efficiency improvement of internal reporting processes
\n\tBuild and\/or manage, update and maintain internal models i.e. Cost Recovery, Budgeting and Forecasting models, liability solution model
\n\tReview Service Levels Agreements (SLAs) against internal processes and manage accordingly with business stakeholders
\n\tPresent to the Head of Business Performance on consolidated reporting trends (drawn from the Finance Business Partners),
\n\tBuild and\/or Improvement and management of Liability Solution model
\n\tDrive automation of reports through various solutions available to the Bank<\/p>\n

\tDrive the accuracy and completeness of information that is used for reporting purposes and decision making, which includes, but is not limited to:
\n\tConsolidated revenue assurance and balance sheet substantiation reporting through the Business Partner Network which involves:
\n\tRevenue:
\n\tEnsuring that the revenue that is reported by the business is reflected as is in the source systems(accuracy)
\n\tEnsuring that the information in the source system is reflected holistically in the reporting pack(completeness)
\n\tBalance Sheet:
\n\tEnsuring that the balance sheet that is reflected and reported on by business, has the complete and accurate supporting documentation and evidence required for consolidation, as well as appropriate reconciliations and ageing of all balance sheet accounts\u00a0<\/p>\n
Drive financial risk management through continuous improvement of processes and controls<\/p>\n
\tReviewing of existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for business improvements
\n\tSupport the updating of the following:
\n\tReviewing and updating of organisational action plans on Business Unit\u2019s risk register;
\n\tCapturing of operational new risks identified for Business Performance.
\n\tResolution of audit matters raised for business performance BU and other BU\u2019s if required<\/p>\n
Approval\/Sign off of daily Certificate of Balance accounts<\/p>\n
\tTimeous approval of all certificate of balance accounts(COB)<\/p>\n
Preferred Minimum Education and Experience\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tCA(SA)
\n\tMust have completed audit articles
\n\tRegistered with accounting professional body e.g. SAICA
\n\t6 years experience as Finance Business Partnering, Financial reporting and management accounting as well as Business Strategy and Analysis<\/p>\n
Critical Competencies\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tSound knowledge of the reporting requirements as prescribed by IFRS & IAS regulations
\n\tFinancial analysis, insights generation
\n\tFinancial Reporting Software Packages(SAP, SAP-BI etc)
\n\tBusiness Acumen
\n\tThe ability to deal with ambiguity
\n\tMicrosoft Office- Excellent Excel skills including financial modelling
\n\tEffective Communication<\/p>\n
