\tEcowize is looking for a skilled and competent Service Manager to join the Pest Control and Hygiene team in Cape Town.\u00a0 The purpose of this role is to provide technical support and leadership to all service colleagues within the division and ensure that the highest quality of customer service is provided
\n\tThe Service Manager will ensure that all services are planned and completed in line with the client agreements signed and that all service colleagues have the correct equipment, PPE, and consumables to complete the services.<\/p>\n
High-level Objectives:<\/p>\n
\tCustomer Focus\u00a0on regular, meaningful interactions to drive an inclusive partnership which will ensure customer satisfaction and quality in service delivery.
\n\tFinancial Focus\u00a0on managing Business Development, profitability of branch by ensuring efficiencies and asset management. Expenses are to be within budget, reported accurately and timeously. Ensure continuous development and understanding of relevant financial processes for yourself and team.
\n\tPeople Focus\u00a0on empowering, developing, and motivating teams and individuals to perform at their best through training initiatives to enhance service delivery.
\n\tCompliance Focus\u00a0to ensure that all regulatory measures are consistently applied, in terms of Health and Safety, Food safety, Audit Standards and SAPCA regulations.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Customer Excellence<\/p>\n
\tBuild strong, value-driven client relationships through regular engagement
\n\tEnsure all services are delivered in line with client agreements and quality standards
\n\tResolve service issues, infestations, and customer complaints effectively
\n\tConduct internal audits and support external customer audits
\n\tReview service reports and drive continuous improvement<\/p>\n
Financial & Operational Management<\/p>\n
\tManage service costs, budgets, and branch profitability
\n\tMonitor productivity, overtime, and resource allocation
\n\tDrive operational efficiencies (route planning, reduced travel time, cost optimisation)
\n\tOversee asset management, including vehicles, equipment, and stock control
\n\tSupport business development by identifying leads and new revenue opportunities<\/p>\n
People Leadership & Development<\/p>\n
\tLead, coach, and motivate service teams to achieve performance goals
\n\tConduct performance reviews, feedback sessions, and development plans
\n\tEnsure teams are properly equipped, trained, and supported
\n\tAssist with recruitment, onboarding, retention, and disciplinary processes
\n\tDeliver ongoing technical and SOP\/SWP training<\/p>\n
Compliance & Quality Assurance<\/p>\n
\tEnsure full compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and SAPCA regulations
\n\tMaintain accurate and up-to-date service documentation and IPM files
\n\tOversee audit readiness and regulatory adherence
\n\tManage EcoGSE system compliance and reporting
\n\tEnsure adherence to POPIA requirements for data protection<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 \/ Matric (essential)
\n\tPest Control Certificate with\u00a0P-Registration (essential)
\n\tNational Certificate in Pest Control (preferred)
\n\tFumigation Registration (advantageous)<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tProven experience in pest control technical services
\n\tStrong leadership and team management experience
\n\tExperience in HR-related processes and performance management
\n\tUnderstanding of operational and financial management
\n\tKnowledge of quality management systems (advantageous)
\n\tProject management experience (preferred)<\/p>\n
