Purpose of the position:<\/p>\n
\tThe purpose of the General Worker is to ensure that the offices are kept clean and tidy and that the refreshment areas are stocked with refreshments and crockery at all times.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMust have grade 10
\n\tMust have 2 years related experience in a similar position
\n\tMust have the ability to use cleaning materials and equipment
\n\tMust have a clear criminal record<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tClean all offices, training\/meeting\/boardrooms, kitchens and refreshment areas on a daily basis
\n\tEmpty bins on a daily basis
\n\tPrepare tea\/coffee for office staff or visitors
\n\tKeep the tea\/coffee area stocked with clean crockery and cutlery
\n\tSpring cleans offices and meeting\/public areas on a regular basis – At least twice a month
\n\tCheck that there is sufficient stock of all consumables ie coffee, tea, sugar, milk in the refreshment area
\n\tPlace orders for stock of tea, coffee, milk and sugar timeously
\n\tMaintain a constant supply of hot water by regularly replenishing the water in the urn
\n\tDe-scale the urn on a regular basis
\n\tMaintain the kitchen in a clean and hygienic condition at all times
\n\tMaintain all cleaning equipment in good working order
\n\tReport all defects in cleaning equipment
\n\tSecure all cleaning equipment and materials
\n\tReport all issues with respect to the cleanliness and\/or maintenance of the male and female toilets
\n\tRun external errands from time to time<\/p>\n
