DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
STRATEGIC PLANNING SUPPORT\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tAssist the Chief Operations Officer in developing and executing the functional strategic plan.
\n\tParticipate in the development of business cases for new projects or strategic directions.
\n\tConduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic initiatives
\n\tTranslate strategic objectives into performance goals and track progress using dashboards and scorecards.<\/p>\n
EXECUTIVE SUPPORT AND ADVISORY<\/p>\n
\tAct as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the Chief Operations Officer on operational and strategic matters.
\n\tPrepare briefing notes, reports, presentations, and updates for internal and external forums.
\n\tCoordinate and track EXCO, Board Sub-Committee, and internal governance deliverables.
\n\tSupport executive decision-making by providing insights, summaries, and analysis of divisional performance.<\/p>\n
ANALYSIS AND REPORTING<\/p>\n
\tLeverage advanced Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to develop dashboards and analytical reports.
\n\tProvide integrated performance insights across the division (financial, operational, and people metrics).
\n\tConsolidate and present quarterly and annual divisional performance reports for executive and board-level review.<\/p>\n
PROJECT MANAGEMENT<\/p>\n
\tLead and coordinate cross-functional strategic and operational projects.
\n\tEstablish and maintain project governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and budget.
\n\tMonitor project implementation progress and escalate risks or dependencies timeously.
\n\tTrack the execution of divisional deliverables to ensure accountability.
\n\tManage cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive operational improvements.
\n\tCollaborate with departmental leaders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and timely project delivery.<\/p>\n
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT<\/p>\n
\tPrepare materials for board and board sub-committee meetings, executive briefings, monthly reports to ensure high-quality communication of strategic reporting.
\n\tLiaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather information and foster collaboration on strategic initiatives.
\n\tRepresent the Chief Operations Officer\u2019s office in strategic and operational forums when required.<\/p>\n
OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY<\/p>\n
\tIdentify, recommend, and implement operational efficiencies and process improvements.
\n\tSupport the Chief Operations Officer with budget monitoring, compliance oversight, and policy alignment.
\n\tEnsure divisional operations are aligned with corporate governance and reporting requirements.
\n\tTrack and report on key divisional performance indicators.
\n\tIdentify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies within the function.
\n\tSupport the implementation of best practices and performance benchmarks across teams.<\/p>\n
INHERENT\/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or a related qualification in the relevant field.<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 5 years of experience in a Executive support, strategy, or operational role, preferably within a corporate environment.
\n\tProven experience supporting senior leadership and managing strategic projects.<\/p>\n
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:<\/p>\n
\tStrategic Thinking – Ability to analyse complex problems and develop innovative solutions aligned with functional and organizational goals
\n\tExcel Proficiency – Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis tools, and other advanced functions. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or Power BI) is a plus
\n\tAnalytical Skills – Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making
\n\tProject Management – Experience with project management methodologies and tools. PMP certification is a plus.
\n\tInterpersonal Skills – Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization.
\n\tAttention to Detail – Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all deliverables<\/p>\n
