Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tMatric \/ Grade 12 or equivalent with accounting and mathematics preferred
\n\tQualification – Certificate in Bookkeeping (or similar)\u00a0able to demonstrate a\u00a0solid understanding of bookkeeping\u00a0and accounting principles
\n\tKey Requirement: Good communication and client liaison\u00a0skills (both email and telephonic)\u00a0in English and Afrikaans
\n\tProven 3 – 5 years experience as a Debtors Clerk
\n\tComputer literate (Knowledge of Sage Pastel and IQRetail) would be advantageous
\n\tBasic Excel literacy essential
\n\tClear criminal record<\/p>\n
Duties will include, but not limited to:<\/p>\n
\tReceiving and processing payments from customers
\n\tCapturing payment from customer on Sage Pastel
\n\tIssue Invoice for all goods to be dispatched
\n\tAuthorise the execution of jobs \/ sales orders
\n\tAuthorise the release of goods to customers on account
\n\tMaintain authorised \u201cCustomer on Account\u201d list
\n\tMaintain list of discount percentages per customer
\n\tIssue invoices and statements to customers in a timely manner
\n\tPerform debtor collection and reconcile discrepancies
\n\tProfessionally resolve customer queries with regards to invoices and statements to ensure timeous payment
\n\tProvide reports and action plans on debtor status and age\u00a0analysis
\n\tIssue daily sales reports
\n\tCollaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial data
\n\tPerform tasks within target timelines for an efficient execution that will support delivering an exceptional customer experience
\n\tOther sub tasks may include; answering calls, goods receiving, front office admin activities, receiving and directing of: Suppliers, Couriers, Customers, Visitor, Tradesmen, etc.<\/p>\n
