and Wellness Specialist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Activities<br \/>\nIndustrial Hygiene<\/p>\n<p>\tDevelop and review industrial hygiene policies to ensure compliance with legislative requirements (OHS Act, \u00a0ACGIH, OSHA) and group requirements.<br \/>\n\tConduct and coordinate hazard identification (Noise, Chemicals, Physical hazards, Ergonomics, Biological hazards, etc.), Risk Assessment and Control including related activities with external stakeholders (Department of Employment and Labour Approved Inspection Authority).<br \/>\n\tAdvise business on control measures (engineering, Administrative, PPE) and ensure compliance to prevent legal liabilities and litigations.<br \/>\n\tProvide business with the necessary support such as training to assist responsible managers in understanding the policies, requirements and expectations to ensure compliance to legal requirements and Group requirements.<br \/>\n\tConduct trainings and induction to all employees on the company polies related to Industrial Hygiene to ensure awareness of requirements related to such policies or procedures.<br \/>\n\tDevelop Action Plans for closing Industrial Hygiene nonconformances resulting from surveys and audits and assist business with closing such nonconformances.<br \/>\n\tConduct incident investigation related to Industrial Hygiene and ensure all level 3 and above incidences have REX Reports evaluated, and results reported.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tCollate Industrial Hygiene nonconformance trend and provide a comprehensive statistical analysis to business to ensure monitoring of corrective and preventive actions from audit findings.<br \/>\n\tConduct training on Industrial Hygiene hazards and control put in place to mitigate exposure including the correct use of personal protective equipment.<br \/>\n\tManage Industrial Hygiene Contracts in collaboration with Procurement department and ensure constructive supplier management reviews.<br \/>\n\tManage stakeholder relationship with external stakeholders (Government officials and \u00a0Contractors).<br \/>\n\tEnsure submission of reports to the chief inspector (Department of Employment and Labour) as required by OHS Act.<\/p>\n<p>Occupational Health<\/p>\n<p>\tDevelop and review Occupational Health policies to ensure compliance with legislative requirements (OHS Act, National Health Act, POPI Act, etc.), Group requirements.<br \/>\n\tProvide business with the necessary support such as training to ensure understanding and awareness in relation to the requirements and expectations to ensure compliance to the requirements of such policies and procedures such as Medical Surveillance, Biological Monitoring, Medical Incapacity, etc.<br \/>\n\tManage Occupational Health onsite clinics and ensure implementation of the medical surveillance program in line with the Company Rules, Directives, and Legislative requirements.<br \/>\n\tManage and coordinate Occupational Health Assessments and related activities and provide timely recommendations to business (on best practice Medical Surveillance, Biological Monitoring, Occupational Health Risk Assessment and Staff Medical Evaluation systems and controls).<br \/>\n\tAlign the function of Occupational Health with other TotalEnergies requirements in line with the HR and HSSE long term plan\u00a0<br \/>\n\tManage and facilitate Incapacity Ill-Health cases related to occupational health as per policy and procedures by liaising with the relevant internal and external stakeholders in line with the Labour Relations Act and OHS Act.<br \/>\n\tManage and maintain electronic Occupational Health records.<br \/>\n\tManage Occupational Health Contracts in collaboration with Procurement department and ensure constructive supplier management reviews.<br \/>\n\tEnsure the recommendations from Health accidents\/incidents are followed up and timeous feedback is given to Business regarding the close out of such findings and recommendations and submission of documentation as required by Regulatory bodies.<br \/>\n\tAssist in ensuring that all events and non-conformances related to Occupational Health are investigated and reported as required by legislation and advise on corrective and preventive actions and evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation.<br \/>\n\tCollate Occupational Health nonconformance trend and provide a comprehensive statistical analysis to business to ensure monitoring of corrective and preventive actions from audit findings.<br \/>\n\tEngage and manage stakeholder relation with external stakeholders (Compensation Fund Commissioner, Department of Employment and Labour, Department of Health)<\/p>\n<p>Employee Wellness<\/p>\n<p>\tDevelop and review Psychosocial Health Risk policies to ensure compliance with legislative requirements (OHS Act, National Health Act, POPI Act, etc.), Group requirements.<br \/>\n\tAlign the function of Employee Wellness (CARE) with TotalEnergies Group requirements and Group initiatives including long term plan.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tProvide business with the necessary support such as training to ensure understanding and awareness in relation to prevention and management of psychosocial risk factors such as workload, fatigue, monotony, stress, work life balance, etc.<br \/>\n\tCollate Employee Wellness trends and provide a comprehensive statistical analysis to business to ensure monitoring and risk management.<br \/>\n\tProvide laymen counselling to employees and ensure referral to external stakeholders for further management.<br \/>\n\tAlign the function of Employee Wellness (CARE) with other TotalEnergies requirements in line with the HR and HSSE long term plan<br \/>\n\tManage and facilitate Incapacity Ill-Health cases related to psychosocial risks as per policy and procedures by liaising with the internal and external stakeholders.<br \/>\n\tEnsure implementation of Psychosocial Risk Prevention strategies and awareness campaigns in line with Group initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Public Health<\/p>\n<p>\tAlign the functions of Industrial Hygiene, Disability and Inclusion, Employee Health and Wellness with other TotalEnergies requirements in line with the HR and HSSE long term plan.<br \/>\n\tDesign and implement Employee Wellness Programs (EAP, mental health, medical surveillance) and Engage with external stakeholders.<br \/>\n\tConduct health education sessions and awareness campaigns (Health Promotion).<br \/>\n\tTake a leading role on management and implementation of controls to reduce\/prevent impact of health pandemic\/s to employees including vaccination drives and screenings (e.g., TB, HIV, Covid19, Flu, etc.) in response to epidemics and pandemics in collaboration with the National or Local Health Department.<br \/>\n\tImpliment diseases outbreak response plan as and when required in collaboration with TotalEnergies International Medical Department.<br \/>\n\tMonitor primary healthcare prevalence and incidence \u00a0of chronic diseases of lifestyle to manage and prevent impact on business (abseentiesm and turnover rates).<br \/>\n\tCoordinate health screening campaigns chronic diseases to prevent and reduce incapacity ill-health cases.<br \/>\n\tAssist with relevant projects as identified by Legal and Business Requirements around Health to avoid liability claims and non-conformance.<br \/>\n\tIdentify, assess the quality and monitor Event Reporting practices of all events on RAMSES relating to Health.<br \/>\n\tIdentify and benchmark best Health and Wellness practices by constantly monitoring non-conformance trends, analyzing and implementing improvement programs.<br \/>\n\tKeep abreast of all Health and Wellness related legislative requirements and to communicate on changes to business.<br \/>\n\tCarry out any other lawful and reasonable instruction by the line manager and senior management.<br \/>\n\tDevelop and implement various programs to improve the health and wellness of employees.<br \/>\n\tLead various health and wellness related programs and initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Disability, Diversity and Inclusion<\/p>\n<p>\tDesign and implement diversity and inclusion strategies aligned with organizational goals.<br \/>\n\tDevelop and implement various programs to promote disability disclosure, inclusion and diversity<br \/>\n\tDevelop disability inclusion programs and accessibility initiatives.<br \/>\n\tAssist employees with completion of claims related to disability and dread diseases and ensure submission to the relevant external stakeholders.<br \/>\n\tReview and update policies to promote inclusivity and prevent discrimination.<br \/>\n\tConduct workshops and training on unconscious bias, disability awareness, and inclusive practices.<br \/>\n\tOversee workplace accessibility audits (physical and digital).<br \/>\n\tManage reasonable accommodation requests for employees with disabilities.<br \/>\n\tFoster a culture of belonging through events and initiatives.<br \/>\n\tSupport Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) for people with disabilities and other diverse communities.<br \/>\n\tEngage external organizations for benchmarking and best practices.<\/p>\n<p>Qualification\/Experience Required:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tTertiary Qualification in Occupational Health and Hygiene (NQF level 8).<br
