PRIMARY PURPOSE<\/p>\n
\tWe are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our growing team in either Cape Town (CT) or Johannesburg (JHB).
\n\tThe ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of QlikSense and\/or QlikView, with an eagerness to learn and develop skills in dashboard development and data analysis.
\n\tThis is an exciting entry-level opportunity to work with a supportive team, gain hands-on BI experience, and contribute to impactful insights that drive organisational growth and efficiency.<\/p>\n
Detailed Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tBI Development: Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of interactive dashboards using QlikSense, under the guidance of senior team members.
\n\tData Analysis: Support data analysis activities to extract meaningful insights from datasets, contributing to informed decision-making across the organisation.
\n\tDashboard Support: Help maintain and improve existing dashboards to enhance user experience and ensure relevance to business needs.
\n\tEnd-User Support: Assist in delivering training sessions and workshops to help end-users utilise BI tools and interpret dashboard data.
\n\tRequirement Gathering: Participate in stakeholder engagements to understand BI requirements and contribute to translating them into deliverables.
\n\tData Integration: Support the integration of data from various sources into the BI platform, learning to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
\n\tPlatform Monitoring: Assist with monitoring BI platform performance and help troubleshoot issues under the direction of senior developers.
\n\tDocumentation: Contribute to documentation of BI solutions, including data models, dashboard designs, and user guides.
\n\tContinuous Learning: Proactively keep up with industry trends and emerging BI technologies and apply new knowledge to assigned tasks.<\/p>\n
CANDIDATE PROFILE<\/p>\n
Qualification:<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma \/ Bachelor’s degree (or currently studying towards one) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.<\/p>\n
\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bExperience:\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\t1+ years of relevant experience (internships and academic projects count).
\n\tSome exposure to QlikSense and\/or QlikView \u2014 whether through coursework, personal projects, or internships.
\n\tBasic understanding of data visualisation principles and dashboard development.
\n\tFoundational analytical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail.
\n\tGood communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to collaborate and learn from others.
\n\tBasic understanding of SQL and database concepts is advantageous.
\n\tAwareness of ETL processes and data integration is a plus.
\n\tCertification in QlikSense and\/or QlikView is advantageous but not required.<\/p>\n
