Purpose of the role<\/p>\n
\tThe HR Generalist owns the full HR function for our Stellenbosch office, reporting to the CHRO. From finding and hiring great people to building a workplace where people and managers do their best work. You stay close to the business, keep things simple and practical, and bring the Unifi way to life in the moments that matter.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Responsibilities\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tOwn the end-to-end employee journey. Keep managers informed and provide practical insights to support people decisions\u00a0
\n\tBuild and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and hard to fill roles, ensuring we are always ready for growth\u00a0
\n\tManage relationships with external recruitment partners where it makes sense and ensure they deliver quality candidates\u00a0
\n\tRepresent Unifi at career fairs, networking events and other opportunities to attract great people\u00a0
\n\tDeliver onboarding that helps new employees settle in quickly, understand the business, and start contributing with confidence\u00a0
\n\tPartner closely with managers to ensure every new employee is supported, equipped and set up to succeed from day one\u00a0
\n\tBuild strong relationships with managers, understand their teams and challenges
\n\tBe a trusted partner to managers by providing practical guidance on people and processes related decisions
\n\tDrive the performance management process, ensuring expectations are clear, meaningful conversations happen and accountability is maintained\u00a0
\n\tWork with the HR team and wider business to deliver people initiatives that improve engagement and capability\u00a0
\n\tMake sure employee records, HR systems and people administration are accurate, reliable and up to date
\n\tFollow HR process consistently and monitor employees use the right tools and systems effectively
\n\tHelp create an environment where people can do great work, thrive and contribute to the success of the business\u00a0
\n\tActively live the Unifi way and help make Unifi a fun place to work<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
\n\t5+ years’ experience in a generalist HR operations role, with exposure across the full employee lifecycle.
\n\tAt least 2 years’ experience recruiting for technology, data or other specialist roles.
\n\tConfident supporting and challenging managers when needed, using sound judgement and a practical approach.
\n\tClear, direct and respectful communicator.
\n\tAble to build strong relationships, earn trust and work effectively with people across teams and countries.
\n\tOrganised and dependable, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of work
\n\tResilient, resourceful, hands-on, with a “let’s get it done” attitude\u00a0
\n\tPassionate about helping people win and thrive in their role\u00a0
\n\tCurious and always looking for better ways to improve how we work and how employees experience the business
\n\tWilling and able to travel across Africa as needed<\/p>\n
