Main Purpose of the Role\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tThe lecturer will be required to teach various Marketing modules within the Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing programme at the Tygervalley Campus, Cape Town.
\n\tThe lecturer must be able to design and deliver lectures, lead discussions, and conduct practical sessions to assist students grasp concepts and enhance their academic learning experience.
\n\tThe role includes but is not limited to lecturing, marking, feedback, student evaluation and academic support.\u00a0 The lecturer will also have responsibility for academic material and assessment, setting in some modules as a module lead.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Teaching and Instruction<\/p>\n
\tDeliver lectures, workshops, and tutorials.
\n\tDesign and update course content, curriculum, and instructional materials.
\n\tEmploy a range of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
\n\tIncorporate technology and digital tools to enhance learning.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Assessment and Evaluation<\/p>\n
\tDesign and administer assessments (e.g., exams, assignments, presentations).
\n\tEvaluate student work and provide constructive feedback to aid in their academic development.
\n\tMonitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Student Support and Mentorship<\/p>\n
\tProvide academic advice and guidance to students, helping them set and achieve learning goals.
\n\tBe accessible for consultation hours and respond to student inquiries in a timely manner.<\/p>\n
Curriculum Development<\/p>\n
\tContribute to the planning, review, and improvement of academic programmes and courses.
\n\tEnsure course content aligns with the latest developments in the field and meets accreditation standards.<\/p>\n
Professional Development and Collaboration<\/p>\n
\tEngage in continuous professional development to improve teaching effectiveness.
\n\tCollaborate with colleagues on research projects particularly related to teaching and learning.<\/p>\n
Administrative Duties<\/p>\n
\tManage course-related administrative tasks, such as attendance, grading, and reporting.
\n\tServe on committees if\/as required.

Requirements<\/p>\n
\tAn NQF Level 9 (Masters degree) qualification in Marketing
\n\tProfessional certification(s) and or experience in Digital Marketing, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Website Development\/Management, Google Analytics, Google Ads, or related digital marketing disciplines.
\n\tRelevant industry experience in marketing and digital marketing is preferred.
\n\tPrior lecturing experience in both face-to-face and online learning environments would be an advantage.
\n\tFamiliarity with current digital marketing tools, platforms, and industry trends is desirable.<\/p>\n
