Key Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Reporting to the Senior Manager: IT the incumbent will:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tProvide first-line and second-line desktop support to users.\u00a0
\n\tInstall, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.\u00a0
\n\tSupport operating systems including Windows and Microsoft 365 applications, manage user accounts, passwords, permissions, and access controls and perform device patching, updates, and endpoint security configurations.\u00a0
\n\tManage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file services. Monitor server health, logs, and security events.\u00a0
\n\tAdminister Windows Server and Linux server environments and manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file services.\u00a0
\n\tConfigure and manage virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V. Support identity and access management (IAM) processes.\u00a0
\n\tRemote hands’ support for Regional Centres. Desktop PC support – including troubleshooting, upgrading and installations of PC hardware and software.\u00a0
\n\tOptimization of backup strategies for our server environment and weekly management of backup tape solution. Manually troubleshooting and addressing weekly backup failures.\u00a0
\n\tPerforming operational support, including incident management and root cause analysis of system and application failures and engineer solution.\u00a0
\n\tDeveloping functional, technical & design specifications for document systems requirements.\u00a0
\n\tProviding informal training Sessions for End-Users and verification of content of all documents produced\u00a0
\n\tWorking closely with the users; solution architect, developers, testers to design.\u00a0
\n\tOutlook Web Access (OWA) configuration and user support including secure access. Outlook troubleshooting, configuration and maintenance of email groups.\u00a0
\n\tMonitor and maintain network security infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, IDS\/IPS, and web filtering solutions.\u00a0
\n\tConfigure, troubleshoot, and support LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN environments.\u00a0
\n\tDevelops plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualification and Experience:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDiploma\/BSc or Btech in information technology\/information systems\/computer engineering.\u00a0
\n\tITIL certification \/ COBIT certification.\u00a0
\n\tCEH, Security+, CISSP\/CISM or relevant industry equivalent.\u00a0
\n\t4 years + Experience in systems development, infrastructure management and systems support, of which 2 years must be at Specialist level.\u00a0
\n\tTraining in industry standards (ITIL) and quality (ISO17790) and experience in their application in IT within the business environment.\u00a0
\n\tHigh level knowledge of storage, server, messaging, desktop technologies, and hosting facilities management (e.g. air conditioning and power standards).\u00a0
\n\tMember of computer association and engineering council.\u00a0<\/p>\n
