\tBoland Media has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced local journalist The successful candidate will be enlisted to write for Paarl Post print edition and digital platform, NovaNews. The successful candidate will work closely with the editors to grow and develop content for the defined target audiences. This is a full-time on-site position at Paarl Post’s offices (no remote or hybrid work options).<\/p>\n
Job description<\/p>\n
\tContribute high-level long-form content for print in line with the editorial strategies.
\n\tCreate digital content of a high standard in line with business needs, including web articles, social media content, video, and podcasts.\u00a0
\n\tAll produced content must be in line with our publications\u2019 style guide and adhere to the editorial structures as defined by the editors.
\n\tManage Paarl Post\u2019s social media platforms and digital platforms.
\n\tAssist in managing content management systems.<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements<\/p>\n
\tA degree or diploma in Languages, journalism or media studies.
\n\tAt least three years’ proven newsroom experience.
\n\tDemonstrate the ability to deliver on the expectations.\u00a0
\n\tStrong digital skills.
\n\tA strong understanding of multimedia.
\n\tUnderstanding of media laws and the South African Press Code.\u00a0<\/p>\n
