An opportunity exists within our finance function for a Finance Manager who is comfortable owning outcomes, exercising judgement, and operating with accountability in a listed corporate environment.\u00a0
\n\tThis role is being shaped with the right person in mind. Our finance function is evolving, and the successful candidate will play a meaningful part in shaping what the finance function looks like as it evolves.
\n\tThis role is suited to a qualified CA(SA) who has trained at a large audit firm and is intentionally moving into a position that combines technical depth, commercial engagement, and operational ownership. Key Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tThe Finance Manager will operate across multiple areas of the finance function, contributing to core financial reporting processes and broader commercial and operational activities. This is not a purely reporting role. It requires ownership, sound judgement, and the ability to engage meaningfully beyond the numbers.\u00a0
\n\tAs the structure of the finance function evolves, so too may the shape of this role. We are looking for someone who is adaptable, commercially grounded, and willing to grow into expanded responsibility as the organisation develops.<\/p>\n
Key areas of involvement include (but are not limited to):\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tFinancial reporting and month-end \/ year-end processes within a listed company environment \u00a0
\n\tReview and oversight of financial information to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance \u00a0
\n\tSupporting external audit processes and engaging directly with auditors \u00a0
\n\tFinancial controls, governance, and adherence to regulatory and listing requirements \u00a0
\n\tProviding financial analysis and insight to management and key stakeholders to support decision-making \u00a0
\n\tParticipation in ad hoc projects, process improvements, and cross-functional initiatives \u00a0
\n\tManagement, mentoring, and development of finance team members\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tQualified CA(SA) \u00a0
\n\tArticles completed at one of the large audit firms \u00a0
\n\tMinimum of 2+ years post-articles experience \u00a0
\n\tExperience within a listed company environment, or strong exposure to listed clients, would be advantageous \u00a0
\n\tDemonstrated people, process, or workflow management experience \u00a0
\n\tSolid grounding in financial reporting, controls, and professional standards \u00a0
\n\tDemonstrated progression and increasing responsibility post-articles\u00a0<\/p>\n
Competencies\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tComfortable with ambiguity \u2014 able to define and build a role, not just fill one
\n\tAble to shift between detail and big-picture thinking without losing control of either
\n\tTakes issues through to resolution rather than escalating prematurely
\n\tOperates with discipline and accountability in a deadline-driven environment
\n\tEngages confidently with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
\n\tPragmatic and commercially grounded, with a strong sense of professional judgement
