About the role: Grade R Teacher<\/p>\n
\tAs our Grade R teacher, you\u2019ll be responsible for creating a warm, structured, and engaging learning environment where young learners can build strong foundations for future academic success. You\u2019ll support learners\u2019 social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through purposeful play, structured learning, and creative exploration.<\/p>\n
Your responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tTeach and facilitate learning for Grade R learners
\n\tPlan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons
\n\tDevelop foundational literacy, numeracy, fine motor, gross motor, and social skills
\n\tCreate a nurturing, structured, and stimulating classroom environment
\n\tUse play-based and inquiry-based learning to support learner development
\n\tMonitor learner progress and provide regular feedback to parents and school leadership
\n\tSupport learners\u2019 emotional development, independence, and confidence
\n\tCollaborate with fellow educators in a supportive and innovative team
\n\tParticipate in ongoing professional development and coaching
\n\tContribute to Radley\u2019s entrepreneurial and future-focused school culture<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Foundation Phase Education \u2013 non-negotiable
\n\tSACE registered with valid certification \u2013 non-negotiable
\n\tExperience teaching Grade R or Foundation Phase learners
\n\tStrong understanding of early childhood development and school readiness
\n\tPassionate about nurturing young learners and building strong educational foundations
\n\tExcellent classroom management and communication skills
\n\tCreative, warm, patient, and highly organised
\n\tComfortable working in a small, high-impact, entrepreneurial school environment<\/p>\n
Salary R216 000 – R300 000 per annum<\/p>\n
