A vacancy has arisen for a Physiotherapist based at Life Nkanyisa Algoa Psych, Mission Road, Bethelsdorp, Gqeberha. Reporting to the Hospital Manager. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective functioning of the Centre and be part of a dynamic professional team that is continuously striving for the highest standards of quality.<\/p>\n
Critical Outputs<\/p>\n
\tConduct assessment and treatment of physical and functional problems
\n\tProgramme development and treatment of users, as well as monitoring and evaluation of interventions.
\n\tParticipate in the rehab programme
\n\tEducate patients and their families regarding the patient\u2019s condition
\n\tPrescription and ordering of assistive devices
\n\tFunction effectively as part of the multi-disciplinary team to meet the requirements of quality patient care
\n\tParticipating in MDT and family meetings
\n\tActive participation in continuous professional development activities Building relationships with referring doctors, nurses, and therapists
\n\tContribute to weekly team and family meetings
\n\tKeep accurate and timeous records and reports
\n\tEffectively respond to queries and handle accordingly
\n\tProfessional therapy service implementation in accordance with Life Healthcare protocols and procedures
\n\tAttend and contribute towards Continuous Professional Development activities of the unit
\n\tPromote and maintain sound and productive relationships with referral sources and stakeholders in the field of Rehabilitation.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tDegree in Physiotherapy
\n\tRegistration with HPCSA for the current year
\n\tOne year post community service working experience
\n\tExperience in treating pediatrics will be an added advantage
\n\tInterpersonal relationship skills, effective communication, leadership skills and performance orientation Candidate will need to demonstrate commitment to quality patient and customer orientation<\/p>\n
