\tA specialist retail solutions company is looking for a\u00a0Senior Buyer, based in\u00a0Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal.
\n\tThe Procurement individual will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the inventory of goods and services needed by the organization.
\n\tThis role requires excellent negotiation skills, the ability to assess suppliers, and a strong understanding of procurement processes.
\n\tThe individual will ensure that all procurement activities are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. The individual is responsible for overseeing the acquisition of goods and services needed by an organization.
\n\tThis role ensures that the organization obtains high-quality products at the best possible price, while also maintaining relationships with suppliers and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tIdentify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing, and establish terms and conditions for contracts
\n\tCreate, process, and track purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services
\n\tAnalyze market trends and negotiate contracts to obtain cost-effective pricing while maintaining quality standards
\n\tMonitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock levels to meet business needs
\n\tDraft, review, and manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with terms, timelines, and quality standards
\n\tConduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and new products to improve the company’s offerings
\n\tWork closely with various departments (e.g., finance and production operations) to ensure seamless procurement processes and alignment with business goals
\n\tIdentify potential risks in the procurement process, including price fluctuations, delivery delays, or supply chain disruptions, and develop<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
Education and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tEducation: Supply Chain Management, or a related field
\n\tExperience: [10 years] of experience in procurement or buying<\/p>\n
Knowledge and Skills:<\/p>\n
\tStrong negotiation and communication skills
\n\tKnowledge of procurement and ERP system
\n\tAttention to detail
\n\tAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
\n\tAbility to adapt to new programmes and procedures
\n\tStrong organizational and multitasking abilities
\n\tFluent in English
\n\tAbility to read drawings from engineers<\/p>\n
