\tWe’re actively seeking a Deal Desk Support Specialist to join our vibrant team and assume a pivotal role in enabling Meltwater\u2019s commercial teams to successfully close high-value opportunities. As a Deal Desk Support Specialist, you’ll report to the Manager of EMEA Deal Desk and be responsible for managing the CPQ administration process and providing support across various Deal Desk functions. Additionally, the Deal Desk Support Specialist contributes to the overall order-to-cash process at Meltwater, working closely with commercial teams through any related queries.
\n\tThis role is based in Cape Town, with a requirement to work US EST hours 2 days per week to support global stakeholders. You\u2019ll gain exposure to cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance, and Operations, with opportunities to grow into more strategic Deal Desk or Sales Operations roles over time.<\/p>\n

\tTwo days a week SAST 1pm to 10pm (Work from home)

What You’ll Do:<\/p>\n
Deal Desk Support:<\/p>\n
\tProvide operational and administrative assistance to Sales teams in CPQ and CRM.
\n\tAssist in evaluating deal economics, against business rules and operational requirements.
\n\tSupport deal approvals, reviews, and compliance assurance processes.
\n\tPartner with global Sales teams to drive efficient deal execution and provide support across multiple regions.<\/p>\n
Process Improvement:<\/p>\n
\tIdentify opportunities to streamline and improve Deal Desk processes.
\n\tAssist in implementing standardized methodologies and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.<\/p>\n
Sales Efficiency and Business Rules:<\/p>\n
\tIdentify opportunities for improved sales efficiency and proactively work with sales to implement new business rules.
\n\tMaintain familiarity with all business rules and understand their context to ensure compliance and efficiency.<\/p>\n
Systems and Communication:<\/p>\n
\tDemonstrate a thorough understanding of CRM and CPQ systems to effectively navigate and utilize them in deal management processes.
\n\tAdhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes, ensuring compliance and integrity in all dealings.<\/p>\n
What You’ll Bring:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
\n\t2+ years of experience in Sales Operations or Deal Desk, equivalent experience within a Meltwater commercial team\u00a0
\n\tProficiency in Sales business systems
\n\tKnowledge of CPQ, Salesforce, Jira and NetSuite a plus
\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\n\tExcellent communication and collaboration abilities in English required; additional languages are a plus.
\n\tDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
