Job Purpose: <\/p>\n
\tThe role includes general building DIY and maintenance including basic carpentry, plumbing, repairs to equipment for all offices. The role also requires you to carry out general maintenance for 3 x buildings.
\n\tLocation: Johannesburg, Sandton<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas:<\/p>\n
Under the management \/ direction of the Office Manager, the handyman\/Driver will have the following responsibilities (including but not limited to):<\/p>\n
\tMaintenance work for all three Johannesburg buildings
\n\tAssist with moving of office furniture
\n\tGeneral plumbing for all offices
\n\tOffice furniture maintenance
\n\tRepairs on broken items\/equipment\/Appliances
\n\tPainting
\n\tMaintenance of Gutters and drains
\n\tInstallation inspections, diagnosing faults, testing, replacement, repair and maintenance of building fixtures and fittings
\n\tGeneral plumbing including washers, taps, unblocking toilets
\n\tGeneral carpentry such as hanging doors, new locks, architraves, window frames, , assembling furniture, easing and adjusting windows, replacing handles and similar hardware
\n\tIdentify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices and health and safety
\n\tCarry out tasks within specified time limits
\n\tRegularly inspecting garden structures and undertaking minor repairs or advising Line Manager of any need to replace\/rebuild
\n\tCollection and delivery of documents
\n\tGeneral Driving<\/p>\n
Requirement:<\/p>\n
\tA minimum of 7 years working experience as a Handyman.
\n\tSkills in general DIY and maintenance and general gardening including assessment, installation, repair and maintenance
\n\tDriver\u2019s license
\n\tGood communication skills
\n\tPlumbing Qualifications<\/p>\n
