\tThe main purpose of the job of a Merchandise Controller is to allocate the right stock in the right quantities \u00a0at the right time to the right stores, according to plan and current store performance, to optimize the balance between service and stock levels \u00a0<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tAllocate stock
\n\tManage DC stock and odds
\n\tResolve store orders and enquiries
\n\tUpdate activity records \u00a0
\n\tAllocate stock to new stores
\n\tResolve customer stock queries
\n\tAd hoc support tasks (e.g., collating information; QC follow-ups; etc.)
\n\tAction COSTIs and assist with IBTs<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 (Mathematics and Business Economics will be an advantage)
\n\tComputer literate (MS Office – Excel)
\n\tCommercial or retail experience, particularly allocation experience, will be an advantage
\n\tFashion and Replenishment allocation systems and processes will be an advantage
\n\tCompetencies: Problem assessment; detail orientation; service orientation; planning, organising and control; stress tolerance; strong communications skills; and building and maintaining relationships\u00a0<\/p>\n
