Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tB-Tech \/ National Diploma Environmental Health
\n\tNational Diploma Food Technology or Food Science with supplementary HACCP and ISO 22 000 implementation experience
\n\tOccupational Health and Safety experience
\n\tMinimum of 5 years Industry experience \u2013 in food production \/food manufacturing\/auditing of food safety management system.<\/p>\n
Key areas of responsibility:<\/p>\n
\tManage at a contract level, the company\u2019s Food Safety and Occupational Health and Safety Management systems.
\n\tWork closely with the onsite management teams, leading from the front and addressing unsafe behaviours and practices.
\n\tOversea and verify the housekeeping, cleaning, and sanitation in the facility.
\n\tVerify the implementation of all Pre-Requisite Programmes and work closely with the facilities teams to address maintenance issues.
\n\tImplement and monitor the Personnel Hygiene Programme and ensure alignment with site and client requirements.
\n\tEnsure that all procedures are documented, and the staff are fully trained and competent.
\n\tMonitor and verify all CCP\u2019s.
\n\tTraining of staff members on all aspects of the Food Safety Management System and OHS Standard Operating Procedures.
\n\tBe a confident and strong communicator, with the ability to engage and mobilise team members in the implementation and management\u00a0of the Food Safety Management System. On food and OHS safety
\n\tBe a systems thinker with the ability to assess a situation, interpret the facts and formulate a plan of action to address non-conformances and deviation to process.
\n\tBe able to work with a variety of different people and across all levels of the organisation.
\n\tBe agile, flexible, resilient and be able to handle a demanding workload.
\n\tWorking within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve the overall Food Safety and Occupational Health and Safety objectives of the organization.
\n\tHandle challenging situations and customers (internal and external).
\n\tConduct internal system and process audits, classifying and detailing non-conformances and implementing and verifying the necessary corrective action (where appropriate).
\n\tMaintain all record keeping, documentation and reports.
\n\tProvide regular feedback to on-site and regional management and the client.
\n\tVerify the quality, safety, and compliance of all incoming ingredients to specification.
\n\tInvestigate and ensure the close out of all incidents following a robust investigative process and by conducting a Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
\n\tEnsure the contract is legally compliant.
\n\tLiaise and comply with the clients, suppliers, local Environmental Health Practitioners (EHP), Department of Health officials, fire department requirements.
\n\tAdhere to the company Business Code of Ethics and rules of confidentiality.
\n\tBe professional in all communication channels and keep your colleagues and units informed of any developments or changes relevant to their daily duties.<\/p>\n
