\n\tValid South African code 10 Drivers License with PDP
\n\tAt least 2-3 years’ experience as a driver in a professional\/work capacity
\n\tAt least 2-3 years\u2019 experience as a general worker \/ maintenance support
\n\tKnowledge of South African National Traffic Laws & Regulations, as well as attention to\u00a0safety and security
\n\tPossess a comprehensive knowledge of Cape Town, Western Cape routes
\n\tThe ability to read road maps efficiently and work with google maps
\n\tKnowledge of requirements and standards related to the safe and efficient operation of\u00a0commercial vehicles as well as operational routine maintenance
\n\tAbility to perform routine maintenance on small commercial vehicles, and to identify vehicle problems and malfunctions
\n\tExperience using hand and electrical tools
\n\tBasic computer skills \u2013 Microsoft Office
\n\tAbility to follow routine verbal and written instructions via respective Operational Managers
\n\tEffective Communication (verbal and written)
\n\tInterpersonal skills
\n\tDiligent attention to safety and security whilst travelling
\n\tAble to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
\n\tEffective time management through planning of daily route to maximize efficiency
\n\tAbility to function as part of a team as well as the ability to work independently
\n\tNo traffic violations or offences
\n\tWillingness to travel and work irregular hours, including weekends<\/p>\n

Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tSupporting respective sites as per the pre-arranged schedule with driving, general work, etc.
\n\tSafe transport of equipment, staff, participants and\/or other personnel to various research\u00a0sites and required locations in a timely, safe, and courteous manner, whilst ensuring the SA Road and Traffic ordinances are followed.
\n\tComplete the necessary funder compliance documents required whilst vehicle is in use, planning of schedule.
\n\tPerform routine vehicle maintenance, such as checking oil, water, tyres, fuel, lighting and\u00a0notify Operational Manager of maintenance issues and services due.
\n\tReport any routine or non-routine vehicle problems or malfunctioning equipment to\u00a0Operational Manager verbally and in writing and where possible assist in obtaining quotes for the repair.
\n\tFollow organisational instructions, procedures, and standards for the efficient & safe\u00a0operation of the vehicle, as well as for the care and safety of passengers
\n\tGeneral facilities maintenance
\n\tFinance support with transportation of documentation
\n\tAssist the Operational Managers on site when not driving with general work as\u00a0and when required<\/p>\n
