Duties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tYour role is vital to the smooth running of the projects, as it immediately follows fieldwork (survey data collection) and leads into our analysis and reporting stage.
\n\tWithin your role, you will be required to undertake the following core functions using Excel and bespoke software:<\/p>\n
Cleaning<\/p>\n
\tEnsuring the raw data from fieldwork is excellent quality
\n\tThe data for inconsistencies and\/or bad quality
\n\tThese records from the dataset and liaising on next steps with the project manager<\/p>\n
Manipulation<\/p>\n
\tGetting the raw data ready for reporting
\n\tDatasets
\n\tCustom variables<\/p>\n
Reporting<\/p>\n
\tUsing bespoke software to create easy to understand tables for our consultants
\n\tData tables
\n\tAverages, grouped responses, ranking of responses, significance testing etc.<\/p>\n
Excel tables<\/p>\n
\tThe majority of your job will be dealing with quantitative data i.e. large, structured datasets that result from surveys, however there will be ad hoc requests that may result from our more innovative methodologies.
\n\tThe client currently script and conduct data processing for all of their surveys in-house, meaning that you will be able to work closely and learn from the existing team.
\n\tThere are multiple opportunities for progression within this role, with expansion opportunities including:
\n\tScripting \u2013 providing you experience in the full end-to-end research operations process.
\n\tDesign \u2013 creating innovative and engaging ways of capturing data, or adapting the look and feel of specific surveys when required
\n\tEfficiencies \u2013 Exploring ways to automate the data collection, reporting and DP process
\n\tRoles \u2013 taking on the management of other team members as you progress in the organisation
\n\tVisualisation\u2013 Helping to create dashboards and present the data in a fast, accurate and intuitive way<\/p>\n

\tAs this is an entry level position, we\u2019re not looking for specific experience as full training will be provided. What we do need from you however, is the ability to learn quickly and recognise the importance of the role you will be playing in delivering quality to our clients.

\n\tKnowledge of MS Excel \u2013 VLOOKUP, pivot tables
\n\tExcel is our bread and butter, so you must be familiar with how it works and be interested to learn new tips and tricks
\n\tPassion for working with data
\n\tjob is all about data, so caring about accuracy, structure and best practice are all essential to the job
\n\tDesire to learn software packages to manipulate data
\n\tuse our own software for data processing, so a willingness to learn, explore and master a new way of working will be ke<\/p>\n
Good to have skills<\/p>\n
\tThese are not essential, however if you\u2019ve picked these up in your time studying or working, they would be advantageous:
\n\tExperience in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
\n\tKnowledge of VBA \/ Excel macros
\n\tExperience in data structuring \/ analysis tools e.g. SPSS<\/p>\n

\n\tFluent spoken & written business English
