Financial Accountant Job Duties:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that all reporting communications are cascaded down to all Head Office Departments and HOD\u2019s
\n\tSupport Cinema\u2019s\/Departments during monthly reporting, including clearing reporting validations and differences
\n\tProvide monthly reports (Revenue\/P&L) to management for HO cost centers
\n\tBudget & forecast variances are analyzed and recommendations are made to correct or improve [BU] profitability
\n\tPrepare forecasts and budgets for all Head Office Departments and HOD\u2019s
\n\tReview financial performance (Functions, accounts, KPIs, etc)
\n\tPrepare monthly review decks, set & monitor action plans
\n\tIdentify and report on cost saving initiatives\/projects
\n\tCost Centre reporting, analysis and management on a daily basis, and formal reporting on a monthly basis
\n\tMonthly KPI analysis of income statement and liaising with Operations Managers to identify reasons and explanations
\n\tEnsuring completeness of all HR postings\/Payroll postings to B\/S and I\/S
\n\tCompletion of monthly HR reporting on salaries of HR spent
\n\tAnalysis on HR initiatives and financial support to HR Business Partners at Head Office and Regional Level
\n\tProcess invoices for payments subsequent to reviewing for reasonability
\n\tMaintain rental, electricity, utilities schedules for analysis and reporting
\n\tProvide support to Head Office finance analyst and financial Manager in respect of all Land Lord queries\/claims
\n\tPreparation and posting of the monthly journals
\n\tMaintenance of accrual\/ provision balances and ensuring completeness of these
\n\tSupport other functions with reporting etc. Sales
\n\tEnsure that VAT payments are calculated and claimed correctly
\n\tEnsure that statutory returns (VAT, RSC levies etc.) are completed for the business and are paid over
\n\tSupport the year end and interim audit process through liaising with internal and external audit<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting\/Finance\/Economics essential
\n\tComm, CPA, ACCA: preferrable<\/p>\n
Experience and Knowledge of:<\/p>\n
\t3-5 years\u2019 experience as an Accountant \/ Financial analyst \/ Controller
\n\tRetail experience will be advantageous
\n\tSAP<\/p>\n
Skills:<\/p>\n
\tGood Accounting knowledge including IFRS, Tax and VAT
\n\tGood understanding of Accounting packages
\n\tUnderstanding of the audit process
\n\tUnderstanding of management accounting principles
\n\tUnderstanding of cost accounting & pricing models
\n\tPerforming any other duties as requested by management defined reasonably, considering his\/her qualifications and experience
\n\tUnderstanding of Ster-Kinekor philosophy and operational framework
\n\tIn-depth knowledge and understanding of relevant company policies, processes and procedures
\n\tSound internal controls framework
\n\tKnowledge of relevant IT\/Accounting systems<\/p>\n
