PURPOSE OF THE ROLE<\/p>\n
\tA GRV Clerk (Goods Receiving Voucher Clerk) is responsible for accurately processing and recording goods received into the warehouse. This includes verifying deliveries against purchase orders, reporting any discrepancies, and maintaining up-to-date documentation to ensure accurate inventory records.<\/p>\n
Requirements
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\tReceive Proof of Delivery (POD) book and invoices from supplier trucks.
\n\tInspect goods for accuracy (quantity, weight, condition) and sign the POD after verification.
\n\tNote any shortages or oversupply for supplier follow-up.
\n\tPerform a blind check against the supplier\u2019s invoice and request a Supervisor double-check if variances are found.
\n\tLog supplier delivery in the Truck Register (Excel).
\n\tRecord and maintain documentation, including invoices, delivery notes, PODs, and GRV documents.
\n\tSign off and return any pallets to the supplier.
\n\tMatch invoices to Purchase Orders (POs) on the system.
\n\tRaise claims for shortages, damages, oversupply, or price differences according to internal procedures.
\n\t\u00a0Complete the full GRV process
\n\tCapture received stock in the system
\n\tConfirm selling price with Supervisor and update accordingly
\n\t\u00a0Assist with stock control and participate in periodic stocktakes.
\n\tStay informed on stock items and trading terms with new suppliers.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\tMatric certificate or equivalent qualification.
\n\tProven experience of at least 1 years in similar positions, with a preference for experience within the FMCG Retail industry.
\n\tSome knowledge of a Value Chain environment will be advantageous.<\/p>\n
