KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\u00a0<\/p>\n
Financial Planning and Budgeting<\/p>\n
\tAssist the OU manager with the preparation and input of the annual budget on OU level.
\n\tAssist the project manager in the OU with the preparation of project budgets, including the adherence to the NWU financial policy and guidelines.
\n\tFinancial analysis, evaluation, reporting and control
\n\tCompile the monthly variance report and discuss the OU\u2019s financial results with OU managers.
\n\tCompile the OU debtors report and assist with the sundry debtors follow-up.
\n\tPrepare and submit financial reports requested from external parties.
\n\tKeep abreast of changes in NWU financial policies, guidelines and procedures.
\n\tFulfil the KFS Fiscal Officer role.
\n\tPrepare the Credit note memos for sundry debtors.
\n\tConfirm the availability of budget and the costing when OU manager wants to advertise a vacant position or appoint temporary staff or pay ad hoc salaries.
\n\tAssist in the monitoring of physical assets of OU.
\n\tAssist the Accountant with the follow-up of financial\/audit queries.<\/p>\n
Financial administration and support<\/p>\n
\tAssist with the initiating of the following e-docs on KFS: GEC, TF, DI and RJV.
\n\tAssist with the initiating of sundry debtors invoices.<\/p>\n
Adhoc assignments<\/p>\n
\tFinancial Planning office administration.
\n\tPersonal development.
\n\tAssist with or prepare training material and assist with or present training workshops.
\n\tDelivering of other financial planning and management tasks from time to time in coordination with the relevant Senior Accountant or Faculty Manager of Financial Planning.<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements<\/p>\n
\tA B.Com degree (NQF Level 7) in Accounting 1 and\/or Management Accounting 1.
\n\tA minimum of three (3) years\u2019 experience in a financial environment.
\n\tIntermediate to advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel.<\/p>\n
ADDED ADVANTAGES:<\/p>\n
\tA minimum of three (3) years\u2019 experience working on an ERP system (e.g Oracle, KFS).
\n\tExposure to budgeting, reporting and analytical reviewing.<\/p>\n
