For appointment at Lecturer level:<\/p>\n
\tA PhD in the field of inorganic chemistry, followed by at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience in a research environment.
\n\tA research track record that demonstrates experience and productivity in the field.<\/p>\n
Advantageous at Lecturer level:<\/p>\n
\tSuccess in securing external research funding.
\n\tSome university level teaching experience in inorganic chemistry.
\n\tSome post graduate supervision experience.<\/p>\n
For appointment at Senior Lecturer Level:<\/p>\n
\tA PhD in the field of inorganic chemistry, followed by at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience in a research environment.
\n\tExperience in teaching inorganic chemistry at undergraduate level and an ability to contribute to course development.
\n\tSupervision of postgraduate students at Honours, Masters and\/or PhD level;
\n\tA research track record that demonstrates experience and productivity in the field (publication in peer reviewed inorganic chemistry journals as senior author)
\n\tSuccess in securing external research funding.
\n\tContributions to administration management and leadership.<\/p>\n
Advantageous at Senior Lecturer level:<\/p>\n
\tEvidence of Social responsiveness and Engaged Scholarship.
\n\tEvidence of international networks.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n
\tDevelop a strong research programme, in inorganic chemistry.
\n\tDevelop and teach courses at an appropriate level, in the sub-discipline of inorganic chemistry at both introductory and senior undergraduate level (including service courses) and deliver specialist lectures at the Honours (4th year) level.
\n\tSupervise Honours, MSc and PhD, students, as appropriate.
\n\tContribute to the administration of the Department at an appropriate level, and Faculty of Science through committee work.<\/p>\n
