The ideal candidate should be able to fulfil and perform the following key responsibilities:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tManage projects according to sound project management principles in terms of deadlines, deliverables and procedures.\u00a0
\n\tDevelop, maintain and enhance internal and external stakeholder relations and provide proactive support to ensure that projects are delivered according to implementation plans.\u00a0
\n\tConceptualize and develop research and innovation projects that are responsive to industry and national skills needs.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure good governance and effective monitoring of partnership, research and innovation projects.\u00a0
\n\tDevelop reporting and monitoring tools for internal and external reporting.\u00a0
\n\tResolve stakeholder related queries, ensuring timely and amiable resolution.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure reviewing, submission and signing off of all internal and external audits, DHET to AG.\u00a0
\n\tFoster a culture of continuous improvement and stay abreast with industry trends.\u00a0
\n\tDevelop and manage unit and partnership project budgets.\u00a0
\n\tMonitor expenditures for unit and partnership projects.\u00a0
\n\tRecord and manage project risks relating to partnership projects.\u00a0
\n\tDevelop and manage an E-Library relating to project governance, ensuring that the library is comprehensive and up to date.\u00a0
\n\tProactive knowledge sharing and participation in learning initiatives to support merSETA meeting strategic objectives.\u00a0
\n\tEffectively plan and manage project meetings.\u00a0
\n\tManage and enhance staff performance.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDegree or equivalent NQF level 7 qualification in Education\/Training\/Administration\/Business Management\/Social Sciences\/ Project Management or related field\u00a0
\n\t5 years\u2019 project management experience in research, innovation or skills development projects in a SETA environment\u00a0
\n\t5 years\u2019 experience in management or supervisory position<\/p>\n
