Some responsibilities may include:<\/p>\n
\tConduct simple and complex test independently.
\n\tVerification of results independently and interpret data against known sources of information.
\n\tImprove laboratory efficiency.
\n\tEnsuring adherence to departmental TAT\u2019s and early warnings to direct supervisor of any delay on TAT.
\n\tCleaning and disinfection of equipment.
\n\tResponsible for upkeep of laboratory instrument and notification to management of calibration and service requests.
\n\tEnsure that all analysis and related tasks are performance in accordance with OHS and Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures.
\n\tImplementation of quality TAT corrective actions for area of responsibility.
\n\tMaintaining acceptable proficiency scores for work conducted.
\n\tEnsure correct stock levels are maintained effectively for testing.
\n\tManaging consumable costs.
\n\tTimely completion of all reporting requirements and responses to any team member as required.
\n\tOther duties as assigned by the company within the Employee\u2019s scope of work.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma in Biotechnology or BSC Degree in Microbiology.
\n\t1-2 years\u2019 experience in microbiology laboratory.
\n\tPreference will be given to employment equity candidates.<\/p>\n
