\tWe are seeking an exceptional and dedicated\u00a0Humanities Teacher\u00a0to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic educator who thrives in a diverse, student-centred learning environment and is committed to holistic education and leadership development.<\/p>\n
Key tasks and responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Teaching<\/p>\n
\tTeach one or more CAIE subjects (Economics, Business Studies, Geography, History, Drama, English Language or Literature).
\n\tTeach African Studies (Year One and\/or Two).
\n\tPlan and deliver engaging, student-centred lessons that align with ALA values and academic expectations.
\n\tTrack and assess student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
\n\tPromote classroom discipline and uphold high academic and behavioural standards.<\/p>\n
Curriculum & Planning<\/p>\n
\tDevelop syllabi, schemes of work, and assessments in alignment with school and exam board requirements.
\n\tContribute to curriculum design, especially within African Studies and the Humanities Department.<\/p>\n
Student Advisory & Support<\/p>\n
\tAct as a Faculty Advisor for up to 12 students, supporting academic and personal development.
\n\tMaintain regular communication with parents and collaborate with the Student Success Team.
\n\tMonitor student wellbeing and academic progress, implementing interventions where necessary.<\/p>\n
Co-Curricular Engagement<\/p>\n
\tLead at least one co-curricular activity to support the holistic growth of students.
\n\tParticipate in periodic evening, weekend, and holiday programming.<\/p>\n
Professional Development<\/p>\n
\tParticipate in ongoing training and performance reviews.<\/p>\n

Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent in Education or a relevant Humanities discipline.
\n\t2\u20135 years of high school-level teaching experience and delivering the Cambridge curriculum or equivalent.
\n\tExperience teaching one or more Humanities subjects.
\n\tExperience working in diverse, inclusive school environments.
\n\tExperience teaching students in the 16 \u2013 19 age range.<\/p>\n
