Administrator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Specific Tasks and Outcomes<\/p>\n<p>Support<\/p>\n<p>Supporting and assisting in all business applications deployed within the eMedia business, which include but is not limited to:<\/p>\n<p>\tBroadcast system support.<br \/>\n\tVirtual Environment: VMWare.<br \/>\n\tMicrosoft: SCCM, Exchange, Active Directory, Windows Server. 2019 \u2013 2021, Windows 10-11.<br \/>\n\tAdditional: Sage 300 People (Payroll, ESS, HR).<br \/>\n\tDatabase: SQL, Oracle.<br \/>\n\tStorage: NetApp, Compellent, QNAP,<br \/>\n\tDesktop Environment: Windows, Linux, Office 365.<br \/>\n\tInstalling new and\/ or rebuilding existing computers, servers and configuring hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, in accordance with standards and project\/operational requirements.<br \/>\n\tManaging assets and configuring systems.<br \/>\n\tContributing to and maintaining system standards.<\/p>\n<p>Operations Coordination<\/p>\n<p>\tRemediating any problem escalated efficiently and timeously.<br \/>\n\tPerforming daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups, when and if required.<br \/>\n\tPerforming regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.<br \/>\n\tPerforming daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.<br \/>\n\tPerforming regular file archival and purging, as necessary.<br \/>\n\tCreating, changing, and deleting user accounts per request.<br \/>\n\tProviding support per request from various constituencies.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tInvestigating and troubleshooting issues.<br \/>\n\tRepairing and recovering from hardware or software failures.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tCoordinating and communicating with impacted constituencies.<br \/>\n\tComplying with approved asset procedure<\/p>\n<p>System Administration and Support<\/p>\n<p>\tProvision of 1st level operational support on to all Business applications.<br \/>\n\tProviding 1st level support on other new applications.<br \/>\n\tProviding 1st level support to integrated ICT systems.<br \/>\n\tAnalysing, enhancing, and consolidating business requirements.<br \/>\n\tAnalysing current system processes and design functional requirements.<br \/>\n\tAssisting in designing Project management planning and implementation.<br \/>\n\tAssisting in business readiness processes to prepare organisation in implementing new systems.<br \/>\n\tMonitoring End-User training on process and system\u2019s usage.<\/p>\n<p>Maintenance and Documentation<\/p>\n<p>\tRecording meaningful and detailed root cause as well as actions taken against logged calls.<br \/>\n\tEnsuring asset inventory is maintained.<br \/>\n\tManaging servers and networking equipment including installing, maintaining, and upgrading of Microsoft Windows based servers and desktops<br \/>\n\tEnsuring high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical host computer resources.<br \/>\n\tApplying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.<br \/>\n\tMaintaining backups and perform regular testing in compliance with the backup policy.<br \/>\n\tMaintaining disaster recovery protocols and participating in regular testing.<br \/>\n\tAnalysing system logs and identify potential issues with computer systems.<br \/>\n\tArranging repair for hardware in the event of server hardware failure.<br \/>\n\tManaging user accounts and resetting passwords, when required.<br \/>\n\tIdentifying areas for streamlining or improvement of processes, systems or networking and discuss with the Senior System Administrators.<br \/>\n\tAdhering to applicable information security procedures and policies as updated from time to time.<br \/>\n\tReporting any information security incidents or potential information security threats to Senior Systems Administrators.<br \/>\n\tTaking a proactive approach to information security<\/p>\n<p>Stakeholder Liaison<\/p>\n<p>\tProviding solutions in a timeous and professional manner to users for support tickets raised.<br \/>\n\tEscalating support tickets that cannot be resolved timeously to a more senior member of the team, along with providing any relevant information or suggestions.<br \/>\n\tProviding input and detailed diagnostics when escalating to senior members and management.<\/p>\n<p>Key Performance Indicators<\/p>\n<p>Performance Criteria<\/p>\n<p>Key Performance Indicator 1<\/p>\n<p>\tSupporting and assisting in all business applications are deployed within the eMedia business.<br \/>\n\tManaging, configuring, contributing, and maintaining systems standards daily.<\/p>\n<p>Key Performance Indicator 2<\/p>\n<p>\tRemediating any problems escalated efficiently and timeously.<br \/>\n\tPerforming daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.<br \/>\n\tInvestigating and troubleshooting general IT issues.<\/p>\n<p>Key Performance Indicator 4<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure Information and Communications Technology (ICT) corporate environment and broadcast mission critical applications are supported timeously.<\/p>\n<p>Key Performance Indicator 5<\/p>\n<p>\tProviding 1st line support to all business applications.<br \/>\n\tMonitoring end-user training on processes and systems usage
