\n\tAs an Assistant Accountant you\u2019ll be supporting the delivery of and be responsible for assisting with the debtors and creditors functions, including accruals, maintaining the intangible and PPE asset registers, performing monthly reconciliations with variance commentary and other ad hoc duties within the Finance team. \u00a0This will help us excel at providing accurate and useful financial information to stay ahead of the game.<\/p>\n
What you\u2019ll be doing<\/p>\n
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n
\tCreditors Function
\n\tCapture all invoices ensuring all postings are correct by product, region, platform, brand, where appropriate and in alignment with agreements or prior billing.
\n\tPerform vendor reconciliations and resolve queries.
\n\tPrepare bi-weekly payments, ensuring that the correct amounts and suppliers are paid.
\n\tMatch vendor invoices and payments in Navision\/Business Cloud (BC).
\n\tCreate new vendors & obtain proof of bank details for all changes to banking details or new vendors.
\n\tRun vendor open items reports weekly and provide commentary for any long outstanding items.<\/p>\n
Debtors Function<\/p>\n
\tBill transaction volumes and related fees to the relevant entities in line with the contracts ensuring all postings are correct by product, region & brand where appropriate.
\n\tEnsure timeous receipt of funds.
\n\tMatch customer invoices and payments in Navision.<\/p>\n
Asset Management<\/p>\n
\tRecord all intangible, fixed and domain and trademark asset transactions including additions and disposals in the accounting system.
\n\tRun monthly amortisation and depreciation.
\n\tReconcile the asset registers to the general ledger.<\/p>\n
Financial Reporting<\/p>\n
\tPreparation of income statement and balance sheet reconciliations with relevant commentary for the areas or responsibility, including open items, opex, prepayments, marketing, etc.<\/p>\n
Audit & Corporate Governance<\/p>\n
\tAssist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual audit files and providing audit evidence.
\n\tEffectively communicate with auditors to ensure all audit queries are adequately resolved.
\n\tEnsure that all controls are adhered to and documented for SOX compliance.<\/p>\n
Financial Staffing<\/p>\n
\tEffectively work as a team with relevant team members.
\n\tCommunicate clearly and effectively at all levels; both internally and externally to ensure expectations are met and potential problems escalated timeously.<\/p>\n
Ad Hoc Duties<\/p>\n
\tDraft process notes detailing how and why monthly tasks are performed to ensure business continuity.
\n\tArchive all financial information.
\n\tAssistance with testing of processes before implementation on Navision or BC.
\n\tGeneral administration related to the entities responsible for.<\/p>\n

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:<\/p>\n
\tStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
\n\tExperience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals
\n\tExpertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope
\n\tExceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
\n\tAbility to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations
\n\tCertificate or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
\n\t1-3 years accounting experience in a similar role
\n\tExperience in Accounts Payable, Reconciliations and preparing variance analysis commentary
\n\tExperience in fixed \/ intangible asset management would be advantageous
\n\tIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills<\/p>\n
Desirable skills you\u2019ve got up your sleeve<\/p>\n
\tIt would be great if you also have some of the following skills:
\n\tExperience in Microsoft Dynamics Navision or Business Central.
\n\tExperience in FloQast.
\n\tExperience in IBM Planning Analytics\/TM1\/Cognos.<\/p>\n
