\tJoin my client, an investment group, as a Group Financial Accountant to take full responsibility for the consolidation of financial statements across the group\u2019s diverse investment portfolio and lead the group\u2019s financial consolidation and reporting processes. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a group reporting or consolidation role.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tFinancial Consolidation and Reporting: Lead the group\u2019s monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation processes, ensuring the accurate aggregation of financial statements from multiple subsidiaries across different sectors
\n\tGroup Financial Analysis and Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of detailed financial reports to the executive management team, including budget variance analysis and KPI tracking; conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership
\n\tCompliance and Governance: Ensure all accounting practices adhere to regulatory standards, company policies, and legal requirements; assist in preparing tax filings and manage group tax compliance
\n\tTeam Leadership & Coordination: Lead and mentor a team of accountants and financial analysts, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance; work closely with finance teams across various subsidiaries and investment areas to ensure proper financial management and integration
\n\tStakeholder Engagement: Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to the Board of Directors and other key stakeholders, and collaborate with senior management to inform strategic decision-making based on financial performance and market trends<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field – essential
\n\tProfessional qualification (CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)\u00a0
\n\tMinimum of 5-7 years of relevant financial experience, including at least 3 years in a group reporting or consolidation role
\n\tExtensive experience with IFRS, financial consolidation, and reporting in a multi-sector environment
\n\tStrong understanding of South African tax law and compliance
\n\tMulti-currency and international experience – essential<\/p>\n
