With Alistair\u2019s aggressive and exciting growth strategy, the Group is poised for significant further expansion and a greater impact in Africa.<br \/>\nCore Services:<br \/>\nFreight Forwarding<br \/>\nClearance &amp; Forwarding<br \/>\nEnergy Industry Support Services<br \/>\nEquipment Rental<br \/>\nCommodity Trading<br \/>\nIntegrated Solutions<br \/>\nWarehousing<br \/>\nOcean Freight<br \/>\nIndustries:<br \/>\nMining<br \/>\nOil &amp; Gas<br \/>\nAgriculture<br \/>\nConstruction<br \/>\nExplosives<br \/>\nRenewables<br \/>\nVision<br \/>\nTo make Africa work better<br \/>\nCompany Behaviours<br \/>\nHonesty, Customer Focus, Continual Improvement, Humility, and Safety.<br \/>\nAccountability &amp; Responsibility Areas<br \/>\nSetting up the new role by implementing best practice from running the transit team.<br \/>\nCoordinating with the clearing team to determine how many bookings will have permits ready in the next 24-48 hrs.<br \/>\nCoordinating with the warehouse team on trucks arrival at the warehouse for loading.<br \/>\nCoordinating with the staff onsite at the warehouse to ensure the \u2018Shunting Operations Form\u2019 is being used.<br \/>\nMaking sure all the inputs from the forms on fire sheets are copied in accurately on the \u2018Shunting<br \/>\nOperations Sheet\u2019 on Smart sheets.<br \/>\nCreating automations, opening and closing trips per shunt.<br \/>\nEnsuring the Advance and Settlement Proposals for each transporter are coming out timely.<br \/>\nTracking, collecting and uploading POD sets which includes container interchanges and movement sheets for each shunt.<br \/>\nAllocating bookings to transporters to ensure timely uplifts of each container to the port.<br \/>\nOrganizing transporters to pick up empty containers from container depots and deliver to the warehouse for stuffing operations.<br \/>\nSource for trucks for Local containers being transported from Dar es Salaam and<br \/>\nMombasa port to the Mkuranga project site for Knauf.<br \/>\nResolve operational challenges as they arise.<br \/>\nEscalate to Head of Operations within 1 hour in case there is a challenge which has not been solved or is in the process of being resolved for clarity purposes.<br \/>\nEnsure all the Loading Confirmations are sent to the transporters prior to the work starting and Settlement Proposals are sent out the same week of the job.<br \/>\nRecommend or highlight different challenges which may arise to allow the position to grow and increase efficiency.<br \/>\nEducation, Skill and Qualifications<br \/>\nA minimum of University Graduate Degree in any relevant discipline or equivalent vocational experience in Transport \/ Logistics service support<br \/>\nExcel skills<br \/>\nClear communication skills to ensure clear and candid information<br \/>\nStrong management skills ensuring efficient use of resources<br \/>\nComputer Literacy to effectively operate and manipulate online management systems<br \/>\nFaultless administration skills ensuring accurate and efficient procedures<br \/>\nThe Company reserves the right to withdraw from the recruitment process at any time, at its sole discretion.
